My Review of "Hellboy (2004)"
Hellboy (2004) was state of the art almost 20 years ago and it still looks great today. It's a prime example of how really good practical effects and makeup can pass the test of time. There's so much to like about this movie and a few things that kind of knock it back a few pegs. I'm glad I was able to revisit this film for my new impressions of it.

My Review of "Different for Girls"
Different for Girls is an odd little title that came out back in 1996. You'd never have guessed how progressive we were back in those times until you've seen this movie. Maybe it's just a cultural acceptance of the UK but this definitely doesn't feel like it could have been a movie made in North America in those times.

My Review of "Jurassic World"
Jurassic World came out back in 2015. It's hard to believe it's been that long since the first of the new trilogy game out. Watching the newest movie kind of rejuvenated my interest in this first outing. For the most part it is much the same as I remembered it back in the day.

My Review of "The Northman"
The Northman is a much discussed revenge movie that had come out in 2022. It seems as though this is a very polarized movie. You either love it or you hate it. Fortunately I'm in the love it category and I'll get to why. I can also see the other side of the coin though.

My Review of "Star Trek: Nemesis"
Star Trek: Nemesis came out back in 2002. Not being a huge next generation fan I bypassed it and the other next generation movies that came out. Thankfully I've finally come around to check them out. In the last movie Star Trek: Insurrection, I've come to know and like the new characters. It was the first movie that I started to feel them gel. Now that I've gotten a handle of the characters I feel like I'm ready to tackle this last movie.

My Review of "Star Trek: Insurrection"
Star Trek: Insurrection came out back in 1998. It's definitely a movie of its time despite the fact that it's based in the future. I had a bit of a rough time getting acclimated to the new cast of the next generation movie in the last the movies. That's why I'm happy to announce that I think I've come to finally appreciate the new cast in this movie.

My Review of "Zombieland (2009)"
Zombieland (2009) is the movie that started the small little franchise. It was innovative at the time and it is also quite a product of its time. That's not necessarily a bad thing but you can tell that there are a few things that wouldn't be able to fly today. For some of us that's kind of a fun reason to go back and rewatch some of these movies where there doesn't seem to feel like there are as many perceived restrictions.

My Review of "The Bad Guys"
The Bad Guys came out last summer in 2022. It's weird because it didn't get a ton of publicity despite being an animated family film. Usually films like this are advertised a lot. I was a little confused as to why they didn't because this is actually a pretty good film.

My Review of "Star Trek: First Contact"
Star Trek: First Contact came out back in 1996 only 2 years after Star Trek: Generations and I felt like I was missing out on a lot of stuff. Unlike the previous movie I haven't ever seen this movie before. I felt I kind of had to understand this story before getting into the Picard TV series that's going on right now. No wonder I was so lost.

My Review of "Ambulance"
Ambulance is bit of an unexpected movie of 2022. Although it was a pretty high budget summer film there wasn't a lot of publicity about this movie. That's kind of unheard of for a Michael Bay movie but maybe we've been all Bay'ed out after all these years. We've come to know and expect a certain movie from him and this isn't that much different. That's not a bad thing either.

My Review of "Star Trek: Generations"
Star Trek: Generations came out back in 1994. I remember this was the first Star Trek movie that I saw in the theatres. It's kind of strange because I still wasn't really into Star Trek back then. My brother knew more about Star Trek: The Next Generation TV show and that's why I went. I kind of knew the characters but not really well.

My Review of "Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country"
Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country came out back in 1991. By then the cast and crew had kind of outgrown their roles as crew members of the Enterprise. Still the last movie was kind of a disappointment so that's why it was a surprise to see this movie was a lot better. It's truly back to Star Trek form and it was very entertaining.
