This modern world we live in can be overwhelming. What we are seeing on a global level and here in the US is devastating at times. The global pandemic, the sex-trafficking crisis, the mass shootings, the realities of the capitalistic patriarchal society with systemic racism, the social injustices, and people dying every day from senseless acts.

Sisters
Sarah was annoyed. Again. Sitting up against her favorite tree with her bare feet in the grass in the large courtyard at her college, she took a deep breath and started reading again. She knew she needed to focus. Tired of so many distractions and frustrated by her noisy environment, she tried to go inward. She closed her eyes, took a deep breath from deep in her belly, and imagined her sanctuary.
