Riverdale
In a land of endless teen dramas writers and networks are constantly asking themselves, how do we keep audiences interested? Riverdale has kept audiences captivated for several too many seasons and the question is how? I think an important place to start is with the evolution of the teen drama.

Renfield
Renfield is a movie that I have been torn about since we first saw the trailer. On the one hand I am a diehard vampire fan and I have made a personal vow to myself to see every vampire related piece of media that exists. On the other hand I am very loud about my deep disdain for Nicholas Cage…he’s a terrible actor, he has no real range and makes every movie he is in campy whether that was the original intention or not. That said, Nicholas Cage was the best part of the movie.

Oversexualizing Teenagers
Teen dramas are and have always been a popular genre. Some of them, like Dawson’s Creek, go about their characters' romances in an honest and somewhat wholesome way. Others (and this is unfortunately the majority) like One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl, Riverdale and most recently Euphoria have a habit of oversexualizing their teenage characters. Now this is wildly problematic for so so many reasons but the strongest of which is that this leads to real life consequences.

Comic Book Recommendations
If your favorite MCU movies are the Guardians of the Galaxy movies then here are your comic book recommendations. I want to preface this with; the Guardians comics are nothing like their live action counterpart. In fact when my dad and I went to see it he was really not excited because the comics are very camp and goofy. But he was blown away by the movie and it became one of his favorites, so if you are experiencing Marvel in the reverse and taking comic recommendations off of the movies you might not experience the same love for the story. Especially if you are interested in origin stories. The further back you go into this team's appearances the less familiar it gets.

Mishandled Adaptations
In a world where both the MCU and DCEU exist we have been blessed with some excellent live action adaptations of our favorite characters. But nearly as frequently we have seen characters be completely misused and mishandled. Almost like those writing for these characters don’t even know who they are. Wikipedia is free and the literal least you could possibly do. However I am a firm believer that if you are going to write a comic book movie you need to read the most important storylines for the character or characters that you are handling and I will die screaming on this hill. I am sick of poorly handled comic book characters. So here we go the characters who were done the dirtiest in their live action adaptations.

Comic Book Recommendations
The MCU version of the Infinity Saga was great for what it was, but the reality is there were very many characters missing. So if you liked the infinity stones and the stories that surrounded them then the comics are going to be great for you. Now the MCU did what it does best and that is combining several comic book storylines to recreate and refresh them on screen. So just reading one title won’t really give you the fullness of the story. So here we go with comic books to read if your favorite MCU movie is Infinity War (or Endgame).

Overrated Villains
There are hundreds of heroes and villains in the superhero canon of both Marvel and DC, yet we see the same characters in adaptations over and over again. So here is my list of wildly overrated villains that don’t necessarily need to be retired but absolutely need a break.

Harry Potter
So by now everyone has heard that HBO is remaking Harry Potter into a show…and as you can imagine I have many many thoughts on the subject. But the general internet opinion is that this is a terrible idea that no one wants. Now the reality is that there are a few straw book fans who think they want this show, now I say they think they want it because if they thought about it with any amount of common sense they would realize that it is in fact a horrendous idea. So here we go: all the reasons why a Harry Potter TV show is the stupidest idea in industry history.

Scarlet Witch
Next up on our list of comic book recommendations is the one, the only Scarlet Witch. Now I really had to narrow this down because if you have followed me for longer than two seconds then you know that Wanda is my favorite comic book character so I have many recommendations for general enjoyment but I will try my best to keep them as MCU related as possible.

Black Widow
We’ve been doing comic book recommendations based on your favorite MCU movie and character. Now this next one is going to be slightly more difficult because of the way the MCU just completely butchered the character of Black Widow. Many comic fans absolutely hate her on screen portrayal so if you liked it at face value, don’t bother with the comics. If you liked it because that’s the only badass woman representation we had in the MCU then these are the comics for you.

Game of Thrones
So we all know that season 8 of Game of Thrones sucked but some people (Stark fans) boil the fan revolt down to Dany fans being bitter. Just to be clear I am bitter but that doesn’t change the fact that the rest of the characters and story went through some serious assassination.

Squirrel Girl vs Batman
So this article might just be to piss off Batman fanboys but I am also unequivocally correct. This is something I’ve been saying for years but I feel like it's important to actually back up my claims. So here we are, why Squirrel girl and Batman are the same. They are the same character, they are equally ridiculous and the victories they possess make no sense whatsoever. And as an added bonus why Squirrel Girl would beat Batman.
