Lost
Lost remains one of television's most groundbreaking shows and as such in preparation to write my own I started studying the season series bible. Now we can all talk about how bad the show ended and we will as part of me picking up this show as a project is to determine the exact moment it went downhill. Now I have my current theory and the timeline somewhat lines up but let's get into it.

Love and Death
The HBO series Love and Death comes to a close. Thus far the show has been accurate, entertaining and an excellent presentation of Elizabeth Olsen’s skills as an actress. I am eager to see how they wrap up all the loose ends at the end of this episode. Let’s see how the finale wraps up the story of Candy Montgomery.

Influencers and the Cost of Integrity
The rise of TikTok has also led to the rise of influencers and they have permeated the industries we love. Some people’s quarantine hobby of talking to the internet about the movies they like led to movie premieres and press packages. But it wasn’t without a cost, these people’s response to these movies all of a sudden got mysteriously positive and their ability to criticize or analyze evaporated.

Fast and Furious 9
My husband and I have begun our quest to watch all of the Fast and Furious movies in reverse order. After watching Fast 10 in theaters (and having many questions) we watched the 9th movie in hopes to gain some context. Now for those of you who have seen all of the Fast and Furious movies I can feel you laughing at me. And you would be correct to do so. So much happens in these movies and yet nothing happens in these movies so no context was gained. No questions were answered but so, so many arose.

The Legion of Superheroes
The Legion of Superheroes A very popular comic book team brought to us by DC comics was first introduced in Adventure Comics #247 in 1958. This team has gone through possibly more reboots and retcons than any individual character but its original iteration was based around Superboy, who was Superman when he was a teenager. He had met lightening boy, Saturn girl and cosmic boy. These three had formed a superhero club using Superboy as inspiration and they time traveled to recruit him as a member. As the team gained attention lightning boy was changed to lightning lad. They then were granted more stories in Adventure Comics and alluded to more heroes in this Legion including; Invisible Kid, Sun Boy, Bouncing Boy, Phantom Girl, Shrinking Violet and a few others.

Love and Death
We are reaching the conclusion of HBOs mini series Love and Death. At this point Candy Montgomery has been charged with the murder of her friend Betty which she has confessed to her lawyer. Her lawyer has also told her husband what has been going on and we are about to enter the murder trial. This is the second to last episode in the series and so far it has been a captivating experience as well as just a joy to watch especially for the talents of Elizabeth Olsen. This is an incredible project for her, she handles the heavy content so well and I hope she gets to do something lighter and more fun after this.

Fast and Furious Review
The Fast and the Furious franchise has just released the 10th installment in its series. It was, as expected, a movie. This was my husband's first time ever watching a Fast and Furious movie and it met and exceeded all of his expectations. And though at this point we are used to logic and reason having no place in this franchise, they have truly outdone themselves with the physics defying stunts in this one.

Fool's Paradise
Charlie Day stars in a self written and directed film that captures the comedy and physicality of old silent film stars like Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin. In a story that beautifully captures Hollywood commentary in a fun and lighthearted way. The film picks a style and tone long dead and reawakens it. Fool’s Paradise is a fun and entertaining film that makes Charlie Day shine.

Love and Death
After the first three episodes of love and death we were left knowing that the murder was about to take place. For those of us that have no chill and went to the internet to investigate the real story we know what is about to happen. But from a narrative perspective the cliffhanger was great and still left the future up in the air. The second half of the series is all murder and aftermath so here we go.

The Boys
Homelander Clearly based on Superman, I have a lot of thoughts on this actually because I don’t know how much of his commentary was intentional but here we go. Let's start with his nationalism, for those who don’t know Superman’s original catchphrase was truth, justice and the American way now I think that original ideal manifested itself as Homelander’s nationalism. Considering that that catch phrase was born out of war-time, the base idea was absolutely American lives are the only ones worth saving which is Homelander’s whole thing.

Jumping the Shark
Jumping the shark is a phrase used in television used to describe when a show has gone too far and pushed the boundaries of what is acceptable and believable in its given world. The phrase came from a Happy Daze episode where the writers had Fonzie literally jump over a shark. Since then the phrase has become sort of an industry term as a manner of critique. So what other jumping the shark moments have we seen in television history? Surely there are plenty but here are the ones that stuck out the most to me.

Supernatural
In a show like Supernatural pretty much anything goes, the very structure of the show allows for a plethora of out of the ordinary storylines however there are a few stand out plot lines that are weird even in a show like this. Now these are in no particular order, nor do I really think any of these are more intensely weird then the others.
