‘Your Place or Mine’ Review

Despite several attempts to save the genre, romantic comedies seem to be a shadow of themselves. However, "Your Place or Mine" breaks that jinx, proving to be a charming movie that rejuvenates the romantic comedy genre. With Reese Witherspoon and Ashton Kutcher in lead roles as Debbie and Peter, the movie reunites viewers with the iconic romance-filled stories that the genre is known for.

Glass Onion: Rian Johnson’s Next Chapter in the Knives Out Saga The sequel to the hit murder mystery Knives Out, Glass Onion, is making waves as a film that surpasses its predecessor in almost every way. While it's difficult to express enthusiasm for Glass Onion without sounding dismissive of the original, it's worth noting that this film offers more action, more delicious comeuppances, more daring design, and a few genuinely surprising cameos. It's not just more of the same, either, as the ensemble cast is more varied and its critique of the clueless rich more relevant to our age.

‘Loving Pablo’: Film Review | Venice 2017
Loving Pablo is a story about the life of Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar Gaviria, founder of the Medellin cartel, and his glamorous mistress Virginia Vallejo. The movie is directed by Fernando Leon de Aranoa, and features Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz as the larger-than-life couple. While the film has a glossy and action-packed feel, it leaves an empty feeling when it comes to an end. The film is based on Vallejo’s own novel/memoir Loving Pablo, Hating Escobar, and is almost entirely told from her point of view.

‘The Midnight Sky’: Film Review
George Clooney is a well-known Hollywood actor and director who has directed and starred in the post-apocalyptic sci-fi survival drama on Netflix, 'The Midnight Sky,' alongside Felicity Jones. In the movie, he plays the role of a visionary astronomer named Augustine Lofthouse, who is battling a terminal illness and believes that the residents of Barbeau Observatory, where he is stationed in the Arctic Circle, will not last long due to the catastrophic event that has occurred on earth. The movie is based on Lily Brooks-Dalton’s 2016 debut novel, Good Morning, Midnight, and is a desolate elegy for a diseased planet and a prayer for the creation of life elsewhere in the universe.
