The Unsettling
The river ran backwards on the day the Queen vanished. That’s what they say, and to be fair it's an adequate if unimaginative description of what transpired, but the common folk around here aren’t know for their poetry or prose. I won’t fault them for that, or their ignorance of the events that led to the river running backwards. It is on that note that I feel obliged to provide some context, seeing as I was there after all. There was strangeness occurring in the river and I had embarked upon a quest for knowledge as to the reason why, all signs up to that point had led to the Queens involvement but I had to be sure. It’s not proper to accuse without getting the facts after all.

Shine Eternal
The air screamed in revulsion as it split asunder. Peeling apart, the atmosphere alight by friction's merciless kiss as the comet wretched hell-bound into its terrestrial decent. The star-bound traveler introduced to the green world racing to meet it. Deep into the land it plunged, ensconced into an earthen womb until its discovery by a collection of protohumans, who would give it the reverence its power deserved.

Today I stared listlessly at the notification spat out from my phone. Only a few hours remaining to enter the #200 challenge. Ohh they have new challenges for the year already I thought completely forgetting that January continued to proceed despite the feeling of chronological stasis In my mind. My level of delusion not having grown to the point of affecting time and space outside of my perception yet, but it’s a new year perhaps I’ll get there and finally create an extra day on the weekend to relax by warping time and space with naught but the primordial pressure of my ego and self-assurance.
