The Tale of Iman and Neelum: The Enchanted Stone

Once upon a time, in a land beyond the skies, there lived two fairy sisters named Iman and Neelum. They were playful, curious, and full of wonder. One bright day, the sisters decided to go on an adventure across the heavens. They flew gracefully, their wings shimmering in the sunlight, when suddenly Iman’s eyes fell upon something unusual—a sparkling stone, glowing more brilliantly than anything she had ever seen.
“Neelum! Look at that stone! It’s shining so beautifully. I must go there,” Iman said with excitement in her voice.
Neelum looked carefully at the stone and immediately shook her head. “No, Iman. We cannot go there. Our parents warned us never to approach that place.”
“Why not? What harm can it do?” Iman asked curiously.
“Because,” Neelum replied firmly, “disobeying our parents will only bring trouble. We must listen to them.”
Reluctantly, Iman nodded and pretended to agree. But her curiosity did not fade.
Soon, the sisters came across a beautiful meadow filled with vibrant flowers. “Oh, Neelum, look at those flowers! Let’s go there instead,” Iman suggested.
This time Neelum smiled and agreed. As she leaned down to admire the flowers and breathe in their sweet fragrance, Iman quietly slipped away. She flew quickly towards the sparkling stone. Her heart raced as she stretched out her hand to touch it.
The moment her fingers brushed the surface, the stone burst into radiant light. In an instant, Iman vanished.
Neelum, startled by the sudden glow, looked up only to find her sister gone. “Oh no! What have you done, Iman? You should not have touched that stone! What will I tell our parents now?” Tears welled up in her eyes as she hurried back home, her heart heavy with worry.

Meanwhile, Iman opened her eyes and found herself in a strange, dark place. Shadows loomed around her, and no path could be seen. “Where am I?” she whispered, fear creeping into her heart. She ran here and there, searching desperately for a way out, but every direction looked the same. Exhausted, she sank to the ground and began to cry.
Just then, a gentle voice broke the silence. “Don’t cry, little fairy. By God’s will, we will find a way out.”
Iman looked up to see another fairy standing before her. She had a kind face and glowing wings.
“Who are you? And what is this place?” Iman asked, wiping her tears.
“My name is Chaman Fairy,” the stranger replied softly. “This place is cursed. Once someone enters, they can never leave.”
Iman’s eyes widened in shock. “What do you mean? My parents never told me about this.”
Chaman sighed. “Long ago, there was peace between fairies and witches. We lived in harmony. But fifteen years ago, everything changed. It all began with the sparkling stone you touched today.”
---
Chaman continued her tale.
“One day, the Fairy Queen was speaking with her sister. They were discussing the magical stone. It was no ordinary jewel—it had been passed down through generations and held extraordinary power. With it, one could rule the entire world.
The Queen warned her sister never to reveal this secret to anyone. But one witch, named Fitna, overheard their conversation. She told the other witches about the stone but kept the existence of the ancient book a secret. Together, the witches tried to misuse the stone’s power.
A great battle broke out between the fairies and the witches. We fought bravely and defeated them. But Fitna was clever and vengeful. While the Queen was away, she stole the book and cast a powerful spell on the stone. Since then, whoever touches it becomes trapped in this dark place. And no one has ever escaped.”

Back at home, Neelum’s mother grew worried. “Neelum, where is Iman? Why hasn’t she returned?”
Neelum hesitated. “Mother, Iman went to stay at her friend’s house. It’s her friend’s birthday.”
Her mother frowned. “Are you sure?” She looked into Neelum’s eyes. “Something tells me you’re hiding the truth.”
Unable to hold it in any longer, Neelum confessed everything. Her mother’s face turned pale. “Oh, my child, no one has ever returned from that place! What have you both done?”
But Neelum, full of courage, said, “Mother, don’t tell Father yet. I will bring Iman back myself.”
---
Inside the dark world, Iman turned to Chaman. “If you and I cannot break this spell, maybe Neelum can. She’s brave and clever. If I can reach out to her, perhaps she can find the book and destroy it.”
Chaman nodded. “Yes, let’s try.”
Together, they tried to send a signal. Far away, Neelum suddenly felt a strange pull. She followed it and soon discovered a hidden cave. Inside, she found Fitna, asleep beside the stolen book.
Quietly, Neelum tiptoed forward and seized the book. With trembling hands, she pressed a button on its cover. A surge of power filled the cave. Neelum whispered a prayer and tore the book apart.
At once, the dark spell shattered. Iman and Chaman were freed, the shadows disappeared, and Fitna vanished forever.
Iman and Chaman embraced tightly, their eyes full of joy. Neelum joined them, and together they returned home safely.

Moral of the Story
The tale of Iman and Neelum teaches us two important lessons:
1. We must never disobey our parents. Their wisdom protects us from dangers we cannot see.
2. In difficult times, we must not lose hope. Courage and determination can break even the strongest chains.
