Stuck for inspiration? This will help! Tips for preventing burnouts on your creative journey

Sometimes it feels like you've exhausted your resources and can no longer find inspiration. It happened to me a lot as a professional musician so I've figured out a step by step plan to survive this stage.

As creators we tend to be dependent on our inspiration. Like water to a plant it keeps us alive and productive, however it usually comes in waves and you never know where it's gonna find you. Ironically, I've been finding myself writing down the ideas so that I will
not forget them in some extremely inconvenient situations. However, this magical resource can vanish as suddenly is it comes and in times like this it may seem like youre never going to get back on track and come up with something amazing. I often can't help but feel completely worthless in times like that. Over time, I have come up with some tips that might be very helpful when youre struggling to catch that feeling.

1. Remember that it doesn't make you useless. Just because you've ran out of ideas doesn't mean you won't create something that will be even better than what you've done before. We are only human so just
give it some time, and never beat yourself up over it!
2. Unwind and do something unusual that has nothing to do with your field of doing. I've been wallowing in my bed
binge-watching series, procrastinating for days before I've had a sudden hit of energy and inspiration.
3. Don't try to force it. Keep in mind that it is usually not about the time and place. Though the special ambience might help you concentrate, it probably won't make you much more productive,
and the one annoying thing about the inspiration is its unpredictability. Having prepared special conditions to boost your creativity is gonna leave you even
more upset and disappointed with yourself if you'll not be able to catch the inspiration.
4. After you've taken a break, listen or take a look on the works of art that you enjoy or maybe look at something
new, like the style that isn't particularly your thing but it is going to expand your horizons as the artist.
5. Try to start working on something, even if it doesn't wind up good enough in your opinion, it still makes you better at what youre doing. It may doesn't seem like it but it sets you up for
future productivity and prepares the ground for future success.

Now the burnout is usually the consequence of not being kind to yourself. It happens when you've exhausted your mental resource to the point when you no longer want to do something you used to love. That is very important to give it time and
just pay attention to your needs. This is a horrible time so if you feel like it't getting worse seek help, reach out to family, friends or a psychologist.

You are not supposed to be productive 24/7 which only makes you more precious. Everyone is unique and full of their own ideas the greatest of which usually take time to be developed.
