Art As An Inspiration To Write
More And More Art Is Inspiring My Vocal Work

Introduction
This has been inspired by a recent painting I saw shared by The Reiki Cat Lady, whom I follow on Facebook.
I am collaborating with The Glittering Fox on a forthcoming Art/Poetry book, which we should have ready in the next few weeks.
So I thought I would gather together some of my poetry and stories inspired by art, with most of the artists still producing wonderful artwork.
While these could be described as Ekphrastic, the art is often used as a starting point, rather than the poems and stories describing the art.
The music is "Peel The Paint" by the excellent "Gentle Giant"
I wanted to tell a story with this one, and managed to do it as a sonnet.

The Enchanted Booklet provides so many beautiful old woodcut drawings, this is just on ethat gave me inspiration.
This one will form part of the book I am working on with Angie Livingstone (The Glittering Fox). There are over fifty poems and stories that we have collaborated on, and there will be a lot more, I am sure.

I have a number of Ekphrastic pieces myself. Have you ever tried Rattle's Ekphrastic challenge? Every month, they put up a new image, and you get a new chance to submit a poem. https://rattle.com/page/ekphrastic/
I couldn't agree with your thesis more firmly; I fear that I have bored some of my readers with too many, ekphrastic sonnets!
Brilliant Mike you given me lots to read here Good look onthe publishing you deserve this so much ♦️♦️♦️
