An original piece
In the silence of forgotten years,
I search for words through hidden tears,
A love I needed, but never found,
A father’s voice, an absent sound.
The empty space where you should be,
Is filled with echoes haunting me,
A distant figure, cold and gray,
The dreams of you just fade away.
Yet in the darkness, I still seek,
A strength within that’s not so weak,
To heal the wounds you left behind,
And free my heart, and ease my mind
For though your shadow still remains,
I’ll learn to walk beyond the pains,
To find my voice, my path, my way,
And heal the child who lost her way.
