Somehow the Asuras who came to know about this fought with the Gods and prevented them from taking the elixir and gave them a lot of trouble. The war was fought on both sides.

As the war continued for a long time, a peace treaty was signed between the two. Accordingly, both of them decided to join together to farm the sea of milk and share the wealth from it equally. Accordingly. Together, the Devasuras crossed the ocean of milk with Mandaramalai as their drink and the snake Vasuki as their rope. At that time innumerable riches arose from the ocean of milk, among them Airavata, the vehicle of Indra, the white elephant, also innumerable riches, Lakshmi and Chandradeva appeared.

At that time, the poison of Ala-gala was also produced, and due to the heat of the poison, the Devasuras became very distressed. Lord Shiva himself consumed the poison to conquer them, and by the mercy of Goddess Parvati, he became Neelakander. Once again the sea of milk was filled and a wonderful “elixir” appeared. When the monsters saw the elixir; They tricked the gods and tried to capture the nectar and drink it themselves.

At this time, the Devas, unable to recover the nectar from the Asuras, were very anxious and did not know what to do, and prayed to Lord Vishnu. Lord Vishnu accepted the request of the Devas and disguised himself as a beautiful Mohini, appeared before the Asuras, displayed his beautiful mane, danced, made the Asuras lustful with lustful words and body movements, bewitched them with his illusion, retrieved the nectar from the Asuras and made the Devas drink it.

At that time, Swarbanu, who already knows about this trick of Mohini, does not get fooled by Mohini's trick, disguised as a god, he secretly sips the pearl. Seeing this, Surya Chandra's betrays the trick of Swarbhanu to Lord Maha Vishnu.

Realizing this, Lord Vishnu gets angry and cuts off Swarbhanu's head with his Sudarsana. As Swarpanu had already drunk the elixir, the body was cut and split into two, head and body. The head part of them fell in the land called Parbara and the headless body fell in the place called Malay am under the Andharvedi land of the earth. after that

Also, Brahmin named "Mini" found the body of Swarbanu who had fallen to a place called Malay am on earth and protected it with kindness.

At this point the two severed parts of Swarbhanu were worshiped separately towards Lord Vishnu . Delighted in their worship, Lord Vishnu gave the body of a snake to the head of Swarbhanu, and the head of a snake to the body of Swarbhanu, who had been cut down, and made the planets Rahu+Ketu always roam in the sky.
