But two months before he suddenly developed weak memory, couldn't recognise people, wasn't aware of time and place. His memory was also weak now he couldn't recall things that happened an hour ago. While talking to him to assess him, interrogating him was troubling for him, continuous questioning would make him weep, his eyes would well up with tears, sometime the tears would fall down his cheeks and he would begin to wipe them. I would stop again and again to give him time to compose him self, when I used to ask him if he is fine, should I continue my interview, he would give the permission and would assure me that He is fine and he can answer. His father was so worried about him, and would ask me again and again whether he will get fine, can he be like before. This story is sad for that young man. It brought back memories for me for I worked with Alzheimer's/Dementia patients with mental health issues to boot. It is so sad when things like this happens to whomever.
