Is Season 2 of With Love Meghan really what critics say?
There are many reviews of the Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle's second season of With Love which is currently on Netflix. Some have gathered media headlines. Are they really watching what is a lifestyle TV series?

If you were just looking to wind down this weekend and was looking for a little bit of help in deciding what to watch by reading reviews. You would have probably come across some of those reviews which have been written for the second season of With Love Meghan.
A series in search of a meaning fronted by a woman in need of cash.
That was the British media, Times review of the lifestyle TV series. Others focused more on the food and attempted to recreate the Duchess of Sussex Meghan's recipe with their verdict.

What is actually in the Lifestyle TV series?
There is an obvious narrative and storytelling which is already being told on the Duchess of Sussex's social media @Meghan Instagram account of her ambition to build a heritage lifestyle brand. There are various themes such as those linking her and Prince Harry's charitable endeavours through the Archewell Foundation. There is a highlight of the collaboration with the World Central Kitchen.

There is an obvious attempt to create a unique feel for the lifestyle TV series with the involvement of the background TV crew and the Duchess of Sussex getting stuck in the cooking.

Following the first season of the series which had a few viral recipes on social media recreating the Duchess of Sussex's recipes, this second season is no different. There are various recipes which are cooked for the TV crew by the Duchess of Sussex and her guests.

There is a playfulness to it between the Duchess of Sussex and her guests.

But we must not forget what this is all about, a Lifestyle TV series with an emphasis on the Duchess of Sussex's wardrobe and home decor.

The art and act of decorating an interior space to make it aesthetically pleasing, comfortable, and reflective of the occupant's personal style and personality

The Duchess of Sussex's startup company As Ever has restocked their product line on asever.com. In her interview with Bloomberg, the Duchess of Sussex disclosed that they had prepared for a million orders stock level to prevent any further sell outs. This apparently was a learning experience from having increased their stock levels on the 20th of June 2025 by ten folds equivalent to tens of thousands of products which sold out in just over an hour.

However three days after that restock there is at least one stock item which has sold out. It remains to be seen in the coming days or weeks wether As Ever has solved their stock availability issues which are common with startup companies. This will also give an indication as to wether the Duchess of Sussex's disclosure on the stock level will not prevent a sell out of items in a short period.

If the indicated one million orders stock level manages to sell out, it will be evidence of an emerging success story for the As Ever team. However there is already evidence that there is demand for the products from the volume of organic website traffic going through asever.com since its launch several months ago.
Some of the mentioned reviews in the media do not seem to be reflective of the actual contents of the Lifestyle TV series. They focus at lot on Netflix viewership and infer alleged personal attacks on the Duchess of Sussex herself. However they seem to discount the lens of those who see it through social media with their own simple recipes recreating those from the TV series.
The second season of With Love Meghan is on Netflix here. You can come up to your own opinion as to its merits as a Lifestyle TV series.
