Writing Down The Bones Deck #16
inspired by Denise E Lindquist

This post is inspired by Denise E Lindquist. I never would have known about this deck of cards if it wasn't for her. So thank you Denise for sharing this lovely deck of cards with all of us on Vocal.
Full disclosure: I have not read Natalie Goldberg's book titled by the same name YET although I do now own it. I'm excited to read it.
I also receive a small commission from Amazon if you purchase these cards via the link that I have provided for you. Thank you.
I've been stuck in a writing rut. I have honestly tried everything to get myself out of the funk I have found myself in after losing my fourth child. I tried reading more- when I have time that is. I tried art journaling. I even tried listening to my favourite podcasts about writing and writers block. I mean nothing has been able to get me out of this writers block and depression I find myself in.
I was scrolling Vocal and I came across another post by Denise that featured these cards. And I thought to myself, maybe this is it. SO I bought them. I thought to myself, "Maybe this is what I need". I've been carrying the cards around for about a month- trying to get "in the mood" to write again. I started writing this on my Kindle Scribe today while I was at home and I felt everything just flow. I'm going to try and post every prompt that I work on. I truly love tarot and oracle cards as well as affirmation cards, that is why I clicked so well with these.
SO without further ado- enjoy my attempt at erasing my writer's block with prompt sixteen.
16) Write for 10 minutes using a number every line.
This one seems tricky to me. But here we go...
I've been awake for almost seven hours today.
I have drank four cups of coffee today.
Oh and one can of Bubbly fizzy water. Mmm.
Tomorrow is April 1st, which means that it's my partner's twenty fourth birthday.
We shall enjoy one pecan pie ad a family as he doesn't like cake very much.
I'm listening to one specific Marianas Trench album while I'm writing this.
They reference twelve other songs that the lead singer had written about a girl he was in love with in the song that I am listening to.
As a mega Josh Ramsay fan (the lead singer) I have been to their concert four times and counting.
I love their first three albums better than the music they currently are writing though.
Nothing beats 2010's pop music.
ANNNNNNNND my time is up.

That was actually slightly harder than I was anticipating.
It is a fun exercise though. I know I have done a similar challenge where I wrote everything that came to the top of my head in fifteen minutes for Vocal like almost two years ago now. I liked that one better.
I haven't really been doing the prompts challenge as faithfully as I had been hoping to but now that I'm passed the one that stumped me, I will continue to do more of these.
Thank you guys for following along my writing journey.
Don't forget to like and subscribe if you are new here.
And... THANK YOU again to Denise for sharing such a lovely deck of cards with us all. It really helped me get out of the slump I have been finding myself in.
