Quite a few people, having read my flash fiction story, "A Town called Raymond" have asked me whether there really is a town in California called Raymond and yes, there really is. I have mentioned in some of my articles that I like to use fact to give my fictional stories an authentic feel. Whether it is historical or scientific fact, or snippets from my own knowledge, experience or life story, truth can often enhance fiction, if you know how to use it.

Unconvincing Beauty
I’d grown up with people telling me how beautiful I was, telling me I should appreciate my ojibwe bone structure, my lightly tanned skin, my long, dark and thick hair. As if appreciating it more would make me see it myself, but it never did. Where they saw a lovely bone structure, I saw a flat and lumpy side profile and a chin that went straight to my neck. Where they saw olive tanned skin, I saw pimples, scars, and when I was extremely stressed, patches of dry skin that would get raised and red with irritation. The hair they saw was hours of effort washing, blow drying, straightened, with expensive products laced in that I wasn’t even sure were working the way they were supposed to. My natural hair was frizzy and unmanageable, wavy but not enough to influence natural curls, the volume was all tangles and fuzz. I’d tried, my whole life, to find something, just one thing I could like about myself without messing with it first, but there was nothing.

war breeds war. Content Warning.
War breeds war. no war ends. the heart wrenching blood scents don't wash away. You cannot wipe the stains of the fresh blood on concrete roads, on cement roofs, on the spinach leaves or on the keyboards of a computer. You cannot cover up the blood gushing out of the white lotuses of your pond that resembled the fifteen year old kid or the young man who gracefully smiled with open embrace , even when there were rifles in front of him. You cannot hear the line or read a line related to the martyr as before. The pen of a mother who wrote about her deceased beautiful son on the white papers, you cannot suppress that with the bayonet of your rifles.

Although I haven't read the book yet, I really like this message and want to send it to you. Don't forget that in this world, except for life and death, everything is just a small thing and you are everything and I believe that you don't only have yourself, your health, your time and the people you love and support. Support at least yourself and there are many means to move forward so don't give up trying. Do you know why the people around you can find their own direction while you can't? forever struggling with the uncertainty or not it's because you think so You believe so The reality is that everyone is struggling with their own life I don't say everything but the truth is that there are always many Many young people who seem to have a stable job and a clear life path are actually stuck in the very life that many people wish they knew even though they have a stable job. In large corporate companies, I still feel lost. I know friends who thought they had found the right job but then realized they wanted something else. I also know friends who even though they have a job. good job but still desire to do things that are more meaningful to us. We are all stuck in boxes about our own problems, the only difference is the box, so you are not alone in this world.
