Theriocentricity
What is it?

Theriocentricity, a new word,
One you may have never heard.
Speak it, sing it, how does it sound?
Is it a word you would use when around
Your literary friends?
Does it lend itself to artistic endeavour?
Or does it sound too clever?
What does it mean?
You tell me.

Just for fun, I am offering a prize of $20 to the person who provides the best definition, and/or usage, of this word.
This challenge has now closed but you are welcome to continue to submit your own definition of the word or, better still, write your own theriocentric story or poem and post the link in comments.
The winner will be judged on proximity to the definition I have already prepared for publication, as well as on creativity, humour, and just sheer wonderfulness. You may provide your answer in comments, or as a story, poem or artistic creation, as you wish. In which latter case, please provide a link in comments. There is no deadline but I will provide my answer, and therefore close the prize competition, at an unknown date and time, so don't delay. Get yer skates on!

Please reference any sources, particularly if you have seen the word used elsewhere (I am not aware of it having been used before but am eager to know) or if you use AI to assist your thinking or drafting of a reply. Any such method is acceptable but please credit as appropriate. Normal rules apply. If you don't know what they are... make 'em up!
This competition is open to anyone, anywhere, any language, and is not limited to registered Vocal users. If you are reading this article from some other social medium, please feel free to enter, and let me know by whatever means. Entries from outside of Vocal will be linked and/or posted here with attribution and assumed permission (please state to negate). Good look one and all !!!
Please also feel free to use the word: 'theriocentricity' in any of your work, if you like it and would wish to do so. No need to credit me, although any credit would be gratefully received, as would a link to the usage.
Thanks for reading and hope you have fun with this new word, as I will.

I will post a drabble on this word and what I think it means. Will post my meaning tomorrow. Great idea.
I couldn't create a poem around it, so I settled for a limerick! A scholar with great eccentricity Preached loud about theriocentricity. "Let beasts lead the way— Not humans!" they'd say, With passion and curious felicity.
Some great entries so far and hope to see many more before hitting the deadline button. Don't delay folks. Some tough competitors so far but still all to play for.
Worth a look at Mikeydred's musical interpretation: Theriocentricity - wild and beastly https://shopping-feedback.today/fiction/so-what-is-theriocentricity%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E%3C/p%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3Cdiv class="css-w4qknv-Replies">
A worldview focused through the lens of one or more hostile or dangerous animals or entities in which it is assumed that all that matters is who is able to subdue whom. From the Greek θηριον (therion). Monty Python's rabbit had reached the pinnacle of its own theriocentric world until it encountered the holy hand grenade. (Remember to throw it on the count of three, not two or four & most definitely not one, for if one should choose to count any of these numbers instead of three, the theriocentricity of said vicious & ferocious beast shall continue to reign supreme atop the ever-growing knightpile/knighthill/whatever you want to call it.)
Theriocentricity. It sounded like it would be real because the ending -centricity would imply centralizing something. But I wasn't sure what therio- meant as a root word, so, to Google I went. I saw it was in relation to animals or beasts and it clicked in a couple different ways to me. In the vein of animals, I could see the word theriocentricity meaning to live a life revolving around animals, keeping them central to your life in all aspects. On the other hand, in relation to beasts and their nature, my mind jumped to a philosophy of keeping your own wild nature central in your life. It made me think of someone who embraces their own feralness and rejects domesticity. And I like either definition for it because both resonate with me!
Well, ai gave me a headstart on this one, you animal! "Therio-": Root: Derived from the Greek word θηρίον (thērion), meaning "wild animal" or "beast." Origin: This root is commonly used in scientific and philosophical terminology, such as in "theriomorphism" (attributing animal forms to deities) or "theriatrics" (veterinary medicine). Meaning: Indicates a focus on or relation to animals, particularly wild ones.
I found this great fun and mind stimulations and will add it to the June Unofficial Vocal Challenges story
It means the eccentricity and thelarche that comes after eating a bowl of Cheerios 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
