A Writer's Blockade?
Now this is something different… I was looking at the comments and notifications on my work yesterday, in the middle of house-hunting and preparing lessons (two apartments visited; three online classes taught). There were the usual praises and critiques – fewer of the latter than before – and I was curious about how people were interpreting the last piece I wrote on the fortieth anniversary of a film about paranormal hunters (you know the one). I really did not expect the message I received over a haiku that I wrote in order to get myself back to work:

Arizona Travels & Cherry Blossoms
Have you ever wondered why cherry blossoms are such a wonder to behold during the spring time? Just like Groundhog Day depicts an animal proving if it has a shadow or not, only to determine if we will get another month of winter or not; Cherry Blossoms and an Eclipse are moments in history that everyone takes time to experience.

The Boy who knew Jesus
The Romans were vicious. They were robbing us with taxes. They would take whatever they wanted. And they would leave us with the scratches. They were barbarians. And they were salvage. They claimed to be about justice but they weren't. They would use our laws to violate our customs. They would rule the people through religion. My mother and father were Jewish. And I was Jewish. We had to work day in and day out to make ends meet. And we had to obey the Roman Laws as well as the Jewish Laws. And we went to the synagogues every Sabbath to be good people. I remember the teachers were very harsh. And they did not tolerate disrespect. The children had to remain quiet along with the women. And we could not disturb the service otherwise we would face rejection or public lashing. My father watched me while my mother went into another room with the other women. And my father instructed me to be still and listen and watch and do likewise. And so I imitated my father and said what he said and did what he did. And I cheered when the men cheered. And I asked father afterwards what is the meaning of this since it was my first time. And he said Boy you are Jewish, you are from God's chosen people. We are Abraham's chosen seed. And we must stand before God each Sabbath to celebrate and worship Him like Abraham and the prophets. And I said Father if we are from Abraham's chosen seed then why do we suffer so much? Why do the Romans rule and we serve? And my father fell to his knee and held me saying Son there will be a day that we will be free. It is when the Messiah come and we will break the Romans hold. Even the prophets said so and I think it is time for you to start reading about the prophets. And he handed me my Torah and said Take the Word of God with you in your heart and learn. Memorize its words and teachings and you shall be great. You will know everything there is to know and God will bless you. Then he kiss me upon my forehead. And I ran to show my mother and my mother smiled and hug me. And that's how my journey started reading the Word of God, the Torah. And as I started learning that's when I learned of Jesus. Many students asked about him. And I was curious but I played like my father. And the teacher was stern and wondering about what the students were whispering but no one told Esia the teacher because they were afraid he would publicly called them out. And then my mother and father took me to Jerusalem and they wondered about the Jesus who was believed to be the Messiah how he healed so many and blessed so many. So at a fest, they were a distant watching him and my father put me upon his shoulders so I could see Jesus. And Jesus was wise, smart and kind. He was welcoming and when he spoke it was as if he was talking to me. So I got my father to put me down and I ran to Jesus. My father tried to stop me but Jesus signaled me to come. And there were many children and they came around Jesus. And Jesus pick me and held me like my father. And he said to his disciples Unless you come as a little child you cannot inherited the kingdom. And Jesus hug me and lift me high saying to such is the kingdom of God. And then he letted me go back to my parents. And I was so excited that day I felt loved and chosen. My father and mother tried to tell me not to tell and they said our leaders are unsure about Jesus and they may attack you in school. So we waited till after the Sabbath, and when I went to class the other students were excited but one of them told on me. And Esia the teacher publicly humiliated me and I ran out crying. I ran to my father's work and my father said It's okay Lias. You don't have to go anymore. You can follow me. And that's what I did while secretly praying to know Jesus.

The Architecture Of Sin & Grace
Sin intrinsically should not be able to drive a person out of God's promise and presence but rather on the contrary sin can draw a person out of God's presence and promise. As confusing as that may sound, the prevailing factor in these two scenarios is simply the fact that, in the former, the allocations and substance of Gods aggressive grace made available to the believer is well enough and capable to secure our destinies and salvation in God as long as we remain and believe in His finished work through Christ Jesus. The latter, on the other hand, becomes a possibility when we consciously choose not to accept and remain in the finished work of God's Grace that insulates us from the soul jeopardizing work of sin.
