I’m a firm believer in what the message of the cross can immensely accomplish in an individuals life if he or she is willing to submit to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

EXEGESIS VRS. EISEGESIS IN BIBLE INTERPRETATION
I recently came across a post by a minister where he samples the genealogy text of Matthew 1:3 which speaks of Judah giving birth to Perez and confidently attempted to siphon out of it some "rhema"about praise(which is the meaning of Judah) being what births breakthrough( meaning of Perez). The rather interesting "eisegesis" and not "exegesis" really struck me as very unfortunate not for the reasons you would think, especially because I honestly think in the case of this individual, no malice is or was intended( my personal opinion).

OPPORTUNITY+CONSISTENCY=GREATNESS
If there’s any book or story from the Bible that teaches me immensely on what it means to have and make use of opportunities in a timely fashion, I think it would be that of the story of Joseph. His life is replete with lessons of one's approach in life if they intend to become what God intended them to become.

Enchanting Oratory Is Great,But First Know The Truth!
You may not be a skilled electric speech master or speaker with oratory prowess that could rival the likes of the the Athenian Greek philosopher Aristotle and the Roman born fathers of rhetoric and oratory Cicero and Quintilian but in whatever you do make sure you have at least the knowledge of the truth.

All Hands Off Deck: Learning To Trust In God(A Pauline Perspective)
All hands on deck is undoubtedly one of the most widely used quotations in our dialect especially when we intend to mean that in any given situation particularly when it’s distressing, we require every effort to make things work properly.

CHOICES
Jesus’s obedience in the garden of gethsemane where He said "I will" to Gods eternal demands can easily be paralleled to mans disobedience in the garden of Eden where they said "I will not" to Gods demands drawing our attention to an invaluable timeless truth about decisions & choices every individual must take cognizance of if we are to have the sort of impact that transcends the corridors of time itself. Paul in Romans 5:19 lays down succinctly this parallel of obedience against disobedience in light of what both choices accomplished for humanity when he writes that; "For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous."

Would You Give Up The Truth For Relevance❓
Anyone who only sees relating with accomplished individuals in society as a means of leveraging and boosting their own identity and status would in most cases if not all be someone who would fail to be objective in communicating the truth to power.

Winning Souls & Not Arguments
The offensive approach is not always the right and appropriate means to advancing God's purposes and intentions particularly when we have the privilege and opportunity to reach out with the gospel to unbelievers and generally anyone willing to hear and have conversations around faith and God. We must be thoroughly discerning enough in any given situation to know when to esteem the well being of others as well as being willing to rather maintain peace and avoid strife over our need to be seen as being right or correct.

The Binding & Loosing Conundrum: Examining The Matthew 16:19 Text
The binding and loosing text in Matthew 16:19 which reads that "And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven" is one whose context over the years may have been misinterpreted and misapplied especially amongst many pentecostals and charismatics so to speak. In order for one to properly examine and make ample meaning of the text in line with its intended purpose, we must try to interrogate the text in a rather more reverse sense.

Attention Is Not The Endgame, Depth Is!
At the beginning of the endeavors that speak to your passions and commitment, it’s not how much attention and eyeballs you attract that necessarily determines the true worth and value of what you love doing. As a matter of fact, some of the world's greatest brands and talents at some point used to be the most overlooked, unrespected and unseen forces in their respective fields. We often become so caught up with the desire to be noticed and immediately valued so much so that in an attempt to become a premium branded talent with public validation, we shift our focus from actually spending the needed time and attention at developing and working up our talents ,skills and brand into trying to abruptly prove our worth just to catch eyeballs and the attention of the masses.

What You Hear In Private...
The function of many ministries and ministers today unfortunately has become a need and desire to speak about a God they have not had any prior interactions or dealings with. What we preach and declare publicly must only lay credence to what we know and fraternize with privately. Many ministers today have developed a penchant towards becoming public figures who are experts at soothingly and charmingly communicating principles and precepts which on the hind sight appear to be in tangent with biblical views.

LEANING ON THE SOVEREIGNTY OF GOD
I reckon that in life as pertaining to matters of faith it’s crystal clear that for the believer or the one who confesses and reposes unyielding trust in God there’s absolutely no case of God being oblivious to our needs or maliciously with mischievous undertones starving us or denying us of what we need in order to make our lives worth living.

The Dilemma Of Failure
Our failings as Christians is not always an intimation of God's absence in our lives nor is it an indication of God's displeasure in us. What do we do when we keep trying so hard at something we so much desire and want in all genuineness and honesty of heart and yet are constantly met with strong oppositions and stagnation that fails to yield the intended result?
