Mathematical Modeling of the Written Universe
The expanding universe and the Friedmann equation Alexander Friedmann of Russia is credited with developing a dynamic equation for the expanding universe in the 1920s. At the same time Einstein, Willem de Sitter of the Netherlands, and Georges Lemaitre of Belgium were also working on equations to model the universe. Friedmann developed his version as a relativistic equation in the framework of general relativity, but the description used here, and (in our theoretical model presented below) applied to the written universe will be limited to a simplified, non-relativistic version based on Newton’s laws. Convenient forms of Friedmann’s equation with which to examine the expansion time and temperature for a big bang model of the actual universe are shown below

The earliest memories of my childhood are etched in my mind with a delicate subtlety. I recall standing in the middle of our neighborhood street, a curious four-year-old, spinning around like a whirling dervish. In those moments, I contemplated the daily rhythms of life – the sun's ascent and descent, the constant ebb and flow of time. It struck me then, as it does now, that each day would inevitably slip away, leaving me with fleeting memories. At that moment, amidst the twirls and the dizzying sensation of movement, I made a silent promise to myself: I would hold onto this moment forever. I would remember that four-year-old me, untouched by the formalities of school, untouched by the responsibilities of adulthood.

Often they attract attention mainly for being famous. However, this new Black History Month tribute aims to highlight people, of any colour or creed, who have made a genuine difference to the Black community with their actions in significant ways. Mary Seacole, the pioneering nurse from Jamaica who stamped her presence on the Crimean War, is the epitome of what this tribute is about. Her impressive and empowering statue outside St Thomas' Hospital (by Martin Jennings) forms part of the logo, to ensure she is always seen.
