After creating a podcast both scripted and non scripted, I have decided to join vocal and continue expressing my opinions of theater, film, TV and other sorts. Hannah Moore and I recently collaborated on writing a micro fiction (Placing Wagers) for a Vocal + Assist Facebook group Lost in the Story challenge. Neither of us had ever written anything with another writer and was unsure how to proceed. We worked with a 300-word limit on this challenge to make matters even more complicated. Quiet Noise at Night
A shotgun house is what they called it in New Orleans, La. As an only child I was just me and my grandmother. My mother passed away when I was just a toddler at the age of 3 years old. She died from lupus way back in the early 1960's, I was born in 1958. My mother asked her mother/my grandmother to raise me because my mother knew she was not going to be on this earth to raise me.

Celebrating Impact(3): Margaret Mitchell
Which of us has not heard of the thought-provoking iconic movie, Gone With The Wind (1939)? Despite the story being written way back in 1936, the book is still making its mark on society through new generations of avid readers. However, why am I featuring its famous White author in my Black History Month tributes? Simply because I was blown away to learn of her involvement in improving the lives of African Americans in her locality at a time when even looking at a person across the segregated colour divide could cost someone his life!
