200 - and Counting
Two hundred. That will be the number of stories I've published on Vocal if this one is blessed by the curators. I wouldn't have realized it if I hadn't thought about checking my profile after congratulating another creator about #150. (congrats again, Savannah:)

Cousins
It all started with a letter to Senator George Clinton. Senator George Clinton was a famous politician and he did many good things in office. He restored the trust. He restored hope. And he restored faith in the union. He helped pass many legislations that better people lives. And I was glad to intern with him. He was a young Statesman and fine orator. He could speak just about anything. And he loved to talk about life and liberty. He was a law jurist or doctor of law was his degree. And he carried the Constitution everywhere he went. Working for him was a lot not only would it build up my resume but also it would give me quite the attention. Usually Steve would give the rebuttal or clarification of statements made by Senator Clinton but there was this one time that I was put on the spotlight. So I improvised and spoke freely and wisely about the statements of the Senator. And it grew national attention so much that I was promoted by Senator Clinton to Chief of Staff. And I was able to forge new legislation and work within the Chambers of Congress. Senator Clinton allowed me to work overtime and on major deals. And somehow we got them done not all of them but most of them. And Senator Clinton would invite me to 3am early breakfast. He even allowed me to call him George. And he would ask about my family, my upbringing and my education. And this happen often that the Senator really got to know me. And Senator Clinton and his wife Sarah Clinton met my family over dinner. And Senator Clinton was the center of the conversation and he talked candidly about his career and focus. And when Mom brought his favorite pie Pecan Delight to the table. He complimented the pie and said just like my mother. And as we were eating dessert. He asked my father about our family history stating that he has family around here that's why the area seems so familiar. My father Earl said that Scott our son does not know but our family has a lot of roots in America. We have a big family. We go back to the Mayflower. Some of our family served in the military, some as doctors and some as politicians. Senator Clinton grinned while his wife Sarah Clinton help my mother in the kitchen. And she asked my mother about how good I was and how well oriented I am. My mother Jill said Scott is a very fine boy and he listens and obey. And Mrs. Clinton said do you think he would make a good politician? My mother Jill said yeah he could be anything that's what his teacher said after at age 11 he read up to the college level. And Senator Clinton and his wife Sarah Clinton were just about ready to go. And on their way out they thanked my parents and me. And Senator Clinton said Scott I am thinking about running for president. And if I do I am talking to party's leaders to make you the next Senator. You are old enough and you've been with me for many years since you were way back in college. So Congratulations next Mr. Senator Scott Cable. And I rushed to shake his hand and his wife Sarah Clinton's hand saying It has been my honor, such a pleasure Sir and Madam while walking them out. And Mom and Dad looked and was so proud. I told them the jest of what I have been doing for Senator Clinton. And I stood up the whole night and fell asleep at dusk. Sleeping during the day as Senator Clinton gave me necessary time off to redirect and focus on my life. Mom told me that I would have to find a wife and Dad revealed that Senator Clinton could be my distant cousin showing me a photo of a relative that he looks like.

Enough About Branding; Let’s Talk Anti-Branding
You are sitting in a pastry shop at, say, 9 Rue Ravignan, Paris. You order a baguette & a croissant, then sit down peacefully, staring out the window, admiring the romantic couple holding hands. You dip your croissant into the piping hot chocolate & dive into it. Jane Austen’s Emma lies open on the table, with a bookmark at exactly page 57, which you plan to read later on. The cute cuddling sounds of a baby girl fill the shop. The waitress is polite, with a big smile on her face, and doesn’t bother you to try the most expensive thing on the menu.

Paid Subscriptions - My Perks
I won't lie. When I first saw the new "exclusive stories" or the new "paid subscribers" update, my first thought was, 'Who would pay for MY exclusive stories?'. I began panicking... wondering what on earth would I ever use that for. How would I ever use that feature? But... this new feature could, maybe, just maybe, help me guide my way towards my own passions.

Our Vocal Stories In The Attic, In The Basement, And Under The Bed
Introduction This is just a piece about how we treat our old stories. I have written so many that I have forgotten a lot of them. Sometimes I pick out some random work and am shocked at how good they still are.
