Publish And Be Damned
Problems With Failed Amazon Publications, But I Am Still Learning

Introduction
I've had an issue with Amazon, which has been going on for years. Basically, it is that once you publish something, you can't delete it.
Often, these appear on your Amazon profile as unavailable, even if you archive and unpublish them, which looks very unprofessional.
Today I came up with an imperfect workaround, and I now have no books in that situation (though there is one that I am going to use for an ebook in the future).
The music is "Book Of Rules" by The Heptones, which I try to cover on my YouTube channel.
So What Did I Do?
While I could change the names of some of the books, others I couldn't, so I thought I would repurpose them, and if I couldn't change the name, I could still change the cover.
These are the two where I couldn't change the name:

But they are full of stories.
Thanks to all I learned from our new bestseller, I created two new books today, this is one, but the title is misleading as there are twenty haiku in the volume. I may change it tomorrow.
The others are in review.
This is my Amazon page:
The two spurious books are on there at the moment, but they will be superseded, and I will have nothing annoying me on Amazon.
While it is not perfect, I have fourteen self-published books on Amazon. If you want to do it yourself, check this out:
Thank you for reading, and hope I told you something useful.

Mike, you are a problem solver to the maxed. Can't wait to do your interview. I had issue getting vocal.
You are writer after my own heart. I had a poetry on Amazon over here. I was the only one that bought it. I have a few art eBooks and a nursing workbook at Barnes & Nobles.com/BN.com, and even there no sales yet. You are a great writer, Mike. Keep writing.

You are so inspirational Mike, and always a wealth of knowledge
Using vocal stories to publish on Amazon is a great idea. Especially as a poetry collection or maybe a memoir of sorts.
I noticed a similar problem. I started publishing paperbacks, starting with the book advertised on my profile, which had a cover update recently. I want to update some of my e-books on there, but I am not sure because I end up having to republish the whole thing.
It would be interesting to use Vocal stories published to Amazon. I hadn't thought of that. Looks like you're becoming quite successful at it. I will need to look into doing that in the near future as well.
Dealing with Amazon can be tricky. I have a couple up myself. I ran the gauntlet, unpublishing a Kindle Vella serial before they shut the program down entirely. Wasted effort.
