Observations On My State Of Play With Vocal
Continual Recycling Can Be Exhausting

Introduction
This is about the things I see when I am going through my old Vocal publications, looking for pieces to recycle. I still cannot comment using my backup account, but I received an email and replied to it:

Nothing has changed with either account, but I will keep checking.
I have to thank Vocal for giving me a year's free V+ as compensation.
What I Am Seeing
For recycling articles, I am looking for ones that are no longer relevant and have no comments on them, or are just not very good, with minimal comments, as the comments stay with the recycled piece.
The saddest thing is the number of comments from Vocal Creators who were once friends and used to comment on my work. I know some people eventually find Vocal doesn't work for them and have just dropped off, but it is still sad to see that.
I know my presence on Vocal is very high, but ironically, that seems to transfer into not being recognised by Vocal, or most Creators for awards or shares of my work, because I am so well known that I don't need any extra exposure. C'est la vie, you never can tell.
Someone just told me that I got more reads in my last month of publishing than they have had in their whole time on Vocal, and my reads have halved because I didn't publish on this account for nearly three weeks.
I am still in a great place and will continue to recycle until I can publish new stories.
One of the benefits is that stuff that would never be read again is now being reused.
Conclusion
So, will I ever get another Top Story or Challenge placement? Probably, but in the words of the song on the iconic "Pulp Fiction" clip
"C'est la vie said the old folks, you know, sometimes you never can tell"
And the word "coolerator" is just brilliant. I don't know if that was a real thing or if Chuck Berry just made it up.
Thank you so much for reading and for your wonderful support, and my reads are now picking up once more.

You've certainly been going through it with 'Vocal glitches' Mike. Glad that at least they've acknowledged the shortcomings here and offered some compensation. Keep writing, my friend!
Mr. Mike, just do what you always did for we always learned from you even with the changes that you have to make. Good job.
I have to agree with Novel. You've been supportive...and the situation with the accounts unfortunate. Glad things have worked out!
Marie's idea seems excellent to me. What do you think?
I'm just watching and supporting, hoping it all works out. thanks for recommending my story. You still remain kind to us despite the Vocal struggles. It takes a big heart to do that. Hang in there, yes, lots of people have left or are complaining bitterly. Hope changes are coming soon. happy holidays.
Awe so sorry to hear youβre still having problems. Can you not ask vocal to put that year on a new account to can be worked and keep other two as storage ? Or is this a daft idea ? Sorry if it is πππ
