ViM hosted its February Prompt, Mystery in 650 Words. There was a decent turnout, resulting in some great entries. You can read more about the prompt below. ⬇ ⬇⬇
We had an awesome group of judges. Even one of ViM's group readers volunteered to participate as one of the judges! You can read more about the judges below. ⬇ ⬇⬇
There were many wonderful entries, and the other judges and I enjoyed reading each. Sadly, we could only choose three as the recipients of the cash prize, but in our eyes, they all wrote worthy entries.
Proudly, I present to you the top three entries:
First Place:
The click of red heels caught on grainy surveillance tape. A case gone cold. A DNA evidence connection. Is the case solved? A detective's gut feeling may say otherwise.
Second Place:
What do a rental room, an unsuspecting woman, and a flowerbed have in common? Ask the handiman; he truly knows.
Third Place:
Jacob's food was coming up missing. Where could it be going? Sitting up for a night's watch, will he finally find out who or what is taking food from him?
Below, in no particular order, you will find the rest of the wonderful entries! ⬇⬇⬇
Thank you to the entrants, my fellow judges, and all of you Vocal readers for helping to make these little prompts possible.
