#200
#200 Challenge First, I would like to say Congratulations on Vocal’s 200th challenge; it is a great accomplishment! I would like to thank Vocal for this platform that allows others like me to have a medium to showcase our talent and help us to evolve. I speak for myself when I say that I never thought I would have one or more of my writings published, and now I can type my name in, and all my stuff pops up. This is quite an achievement for me.

Past Year and Future Intentions
This past year on Vocal, I have seen my true creativity. In 2023 alone, I wrote 16 stories. In total, I have written 58. I’m the type of writer that gets a feeling and I take it and run with it. I had a lot of emotions and thoughts running through my mind in 2023 and I went straight to Microsoft Word and just started typing.

What's on the Other Side?
I thought I closed out 2023 with a villanelle about writing with the Vocal community. Then I thought, why not write some thoughts about going forward on Vocal in 2024? So I did that. Then, Vocal posted a challenge about doing what I had just done. So, here I am, getting ready to do that stuff again. And I'm okay with it. I hope you will be, too and I promise to add some new, hopefully interesting, stuff.

20 Vocal Goals for 2024
I have never been the kind of person who aspires actively, instead I intend. I intended to get my Honours degree and did, I intended to get my Masters degree, and did. I have intended, in my life, to never aspire to much because I believe that it will;

Last year, reading between the lines (Damon is good at that), he was let go for underperformance.

Week Two of Write a Story Every Day in 2024
Week Two. 14 stories. Each of them microfiction of less than 366 words. All of them different. And so tomorrow heralds the start of Week Three and I am still in the marathon. Maybe with a blister or two and a dry throat but I'm there and I'm fighting.

Beneath the Arc
Once upon a time, in the heart of a small town cradled between rolling hills and lush green meadows, there lived a spirited and curious 7-year-old boy named Ryan. On a particular rainy afternoon, the rhythmic pitter-patter of raindrops provided a soothing melody against the symphony of rooftops.

Chasing Sunsets
In the idyllic haven of a small town, nestled between undulating hills and sprawling meadows, lived the indomitable spirit of a 5-year-old named Sophia. Her laughter, a contagion of joy, echoed through the neighborhood, while her sparkling blue eyes harbored a curiosity that defied her tender age. Sophia, however, grappled with a formidable foe—relentless illness that cast a shadow over her childhood, turning each day into a poignant dance between fragility and resilience.

Reflections of Everhaven: The Enchanted Mirror Chronicles
In the heart of Everhaven, where the gentle murmur of the Enchanted River blended seamlessly with the rustling leaves of the ancient trees, a small antique shop known as "Whimsical Treasures" held an extraordinary secret. Within its quaint interior, amid the eclectic assortment of artifacts and curiosities, stood an ornate mirror with an elaborate golden frame—a portal to a realm where the boundaries between reality and fantasy blurred.
