Rose's Journal
May 15, 1940 Today, a deep anger awoke, a call to break away from merely represent a décor at my spouse’s arm. Sun seeped through our plush drapes, yet shadows clung to my desk where words took form under my pen. On roads, banners of Thomas Dewey were hung, the face of a man who advocates for change. My peers mocked, for them a woman’s realm stuck to home, to afternoon teas, not to places where futures are shaped.

When Contradicting Images Reveal More Than Logic. Top Story - July 2024.
I have a history of analyzing the utterly brilliant and soul-touching poetry of Mesh Toraskar. It seems I’m unable to read his poetry and move on with my life, as each line, each half-line, each word is so rich with imagery, references, concepts, et cetera, that it requires taking slow, quiet time to fully appreciate it all. He took quite a long break at the beginning of the year before returning in April with the stunner, “fresh terror to love.” He has published two more pieces since then, one poem and one Feast narrative, both of which I highly recommend. You’ll quickly deduce that I will recommend everything this man has written. Anyway, I promised to come back when words were no longer failing me and I did not. A lot has happened to me and it simply has not stopped, yet this is no excuse for being mute to the following beauty.

How To Find The Best Creative Writing Teachers
I’m sharing with you my thoughts about how I feel, when it comes to seeking out an online stranger’s help to teach us how to pour emotions on to paper. This article is not about insulting your intelligence, but creative writing isn’t about writing fantasy novels with flair, or romantic settings where lovers dare, to seek sweet forbidden fruits in the shadow of castles ruins. If you are looking for classes on how to “creatively” write, then a few courses of English Gen Ed at your local public college is a very realistic way of learning how to properly write. The desperation in the voices of countless people, begging for information on where to find the most skilled masters of creative writing, shows us how our society has failed us in many ways. Creative writing won’t make you a writer, and it is not the key to unlocking some supposed mystery of understanding how to captivate a worldwide audience. Stop throwing your money at this false hope.

My Grandmother- My grief.. Content Warning.
November 27th, 2023, I wiped my grandmother's face with a warm towel- as she coughed her last breath up. She'd been in a coma for about two days- but I was sure she was coming back. She didn't come back in the ways I was hoping she would- but she also never left, in the ways that I didn't know that I needed. This is my father's mother. Cecile Mukarumongi. She is here, in my thoughts, decisions, and prayers, in my thick hair, in the rolls in my neck, in my thick lips, and of course in my Snapchat memories.
