Joshua "The Fearless" Van, the next UFC flyweight champ?
It's not an if, it's a when.

Coming to the UFC in 2023 on a HOT STREAK, Joshua Van has been looking sharp and imposing one question. How long until he claims the belt? Going 5-1 over his first two years in the UFC and 7-1 before that while fighting in Fury FC he has displayed time and time again that he has the skills to get the job done even with skilled veterans like his most recent win by decision over Cody Durden at UFC 310 as well as his dominant KO victory over Felipe Bunes at UFC Fight Night Ankalaev vs. Walker 2.

Racking up 11 takedowns, 709 strikes landed, and one knockdown in his UFC career so far, the expertise is clearly there. It's just a matter of time for Joshua “The Fearless” Van to reign as the next UFC flyweight champ.
The possible road to the title fight could be getting a win over current flyweight rank 11 Tagir Ulanbekov, who hasn’t fought since his victory in December 2023. So while the match would be very fitting with the two fighters' styles it would make sense to have Tagir fight again soon. After Joshua’s hypothetical win he could face off against present flyweight rank 4 Kai Kara-France before getting a shot at the burning flyweight champ, Alexandre Pantoja. All of these fights, especially the Pantoja one, would be incredible. Absolute dog fights until the end, but I believe Joshua would end up on top at the end of them all and claim his belt.
