How to Tell Your Spiritually Transformative Story Without Fear
For Those Who’ve Had a Near-Death Experience (NDE) or Spiritually Transformative Experience (STE)
So, you’ve experienced something that changed everything...
Maybe it was a near-death experience that took you beyond the veil of this reality.
Maybe it was a spontaneous awakening, a moment of Divine presence, or an out-of-body journey that left you questioning what is real and what is not.
These sacred experiences—these spiritually transformative events—often arrive without warning, yet they leave us with a profound knowing that life is so much more than what we’ve been taught.
And yet… when it comes time to share that story, fear can take hold.
What if no one believes me?
What if they think I’m crazy?
What if I don’t know how to put it into words?
If you’ve felt that fear, you’re not alone. But your story is not just a memory—it’s medicine. And there are people waiting to receive it.
Why Your Story Matters
You didn’t have your experience by accident. It happened for a reason, and part of that reason may be to share it. When you speak your truth, you open a door for others to do the same.
Here’s what happens when you share your NDE or STE story:
You heal yourself. Putting your experience into words helps you process and integrate it into your life.
You help others heal. Someone out there is praying for a sign that they’re not alone. Your story could be that sign.
You raise consciousness. Each story shared ripples into the collective. Together, we awaken.
Understanding the Fear
Fear is often the first thing that rises when you consider telling your story.
Fear of being judged.
Fear of being misunderstood.
Fear of being too vulnerable or too “out there.”
These fears are valid—and common. Many people who’ve had NDEs or STEs carry their stories quietly for years, even decades. (In June last year, I helped an author publish her book after more than 10 years of sitting on it)
But fear doesn’t mean your story shouldn’t be told. Often, it means your story must be told.
How to Start Telling Your Story (Gently)
You don’t have to share it with the world right away. Begin with what feels safe and manageable.
Here are a few gentle ways to begin:
1. Write it just for yourself
Open a notebook, Google doc or voice memo app. No pressure, no audience. Let the memory flow.
2. Break it into parts
Try organizing your experience into three stages:
– Life before the experience
– What happened during the experience
– How life changed after
3. Focus on the feelings
You don’t need perfect language. Speak from the heart. If you choose to share it publicly - remember, people connect with raw, real emotion.
4. Allow your own pace
There is no deadline. Let your inner guidance lead you. Your timing is divine.
From Fear to Purpose
Sometimes fear isn’t a warning—it’s a doorway.
Instead of asking, “What if they don’t understand me?”
Ask, “What if someone out there needs exactly what I have to say?”
Reframe fear as a sign of purpose. When something powerful is trying to come through, it often brings resistance before release.
Sharing Your Story Publicly (When You’re Ready)
When you feel ready to share your story beyond your journal or close circle, there are several loving, supported ways to do so:
Write a blog post or personal reflection
Join a co-author book project where your story is one of many
Publish a memoir or spiritual book
Speak on a podcast or in a private group
Use a pseudonym if you’re not ready to reveal your identity
You don’t need to share everything. You don’t need to get it “right.” You just need to begin.
You Are the Bridge
You are the bridge between the seen and unseen.
You’ve glimpsed a truth that others long to understand.
Your story is a torch—and by sharing it, you light the way for others to find their own path towards their truth.
Feeling Called to Begin?
Here are some prompts to gently start your storytelling journey:
What changed in me after my experience?
What do I now know that I didn’t before?
If I could tell the world one thing from that moment, what would it be?
There is no wrong way to share. There is only truth—and your truth is enough.
