Failures In Facebook Vocal Groups
Well, It's Probably Every Facebook Group

Introduction
This is a short piece, and it is aimed at Facebook Group Admins and Moderators. Facebook often doesn't make life easy for us, and then it will do something that makes things even worse.
I included the image because sometimes it feels as though we are fighting the impossible.
The Problems
I recently had to leave two Facebook Vocal Groups. I didn't encounter any bad stuff, but the stories I was sharing in the groups for members to read were not being published. In these groups, I had over fifty stories in "pending".
You only get the warning when you post, and then YOU can see all your pending stories, but you don't know they are pending. The only other people who might see them are group admins.
When I asked an admin in one group, they said I just published pictures, not poetry. While I know that some people find it apparently impossible to follow a link (I once had 100 likes on Blue Sky for a poem, but that did not translate into reads), I always introduce my piece with what it is about. I decided it was pointless to stay in the group even though I was a top contributor.
The other group gave me no response, so I left that one as well. There is no point in sharing your Vocal stories if no one is going to see them.
I am an Admin in VSS and have noticed stories being marked as spam that definitely are not spam. These are the stories that are then marked as pending to the author, and therefore can't be seen by group members and won't be read in that group.
In VSS, we ask members to introduce their stories; if they don't, they are usually marked as spam (with a message to resubmit with an introduction) and declined. Facebook does give great options for marking stories as spam.
If we see a story that is not spam, we do publish it immediately, but it is annoying, as we should be able to automate the process.
Conclusion
If you are getting no responses from stories in Facebook Vocal groups, it may be that others can't see your stories there.
Thank you for reading, and I hope this has been a little help to you

Does this work the same as when sharing stories to Facebook? I used to share all the writing I did for a while, but I never received any indication of anyone reading. I did sign on to Facebook to see if my piece was posted it was for a short time.
Fighting the impossible. Perfect image choice, especially with all those staircases ππΎ 50 stories in pending and they weren't being published? What?! That's really bad. How could this be happening? Choosing to leave the group even though you were a top contributor, was, I feel, the right decision for you. I agree. No point in sharing vocal stories if no one is going to see them. I am so sad that this has happened to you. Happy to know Facebook gives great options for marking stories as spam. Automating would be easier π€ Oh of course. This was very helpful. Thank you Mike and wonderfully presented π€β€οΈ
This is really useful for anyone navigating Vocal groups on Facebook! π
Where is their mind?
FB terrifies me, so confusing. But with the recent Vocal deluge of challenges, things are crazy. Time may be the reason. π½
Thanks, Mike. I didn't know any of this β‘
I've had the same happen to me. People are just too lazy to click the link to read. So I stopped posting my stuff in those poetry and stories groups. My posts were either always in pending, or no one clicks on it
