Balance Bringing Peace And Harmony
Rupi Kaur's Balance Writing Prompts
The universe takes and gives everything you didn’t know you needed. These prompts are an invitation to step inside yourself and explore what balance means to you. Rupi Kaur
Balance can bring Peace and Harmony
Having a partner to balance me in matrimony
Having things in common is good
but not like balance, understood?
Love is important, lust will suffice for awhile
peace and harmony will keep your smile
and it will take you many a mile
Rupi Kaur's Balance Writing Prompts - Is there something you could be more honest about that would help you feel better?
See the prompt below. I do feel better admitting here that the information I give below about exercises I recommend I do when demonstrating them only a handful of times each year. Most times I have a co-facilitator demonstrate. So then it is even less times each year.
It isn't as bad as that sounds but for now, more below in the last prompt.
Rupi Kaur's Balance Writing Prompts - I feel most at peace when ___________.
The music video above is My Power Flower to go with the story photo at the top.
Peace comes easily to me when listening to the right music. And even when it is dance music there is peace. Message or not, there is peace.
Rupi Kaur's Balance Writing Prompts - What piece of advice do you give to others but never take yourself?
Practice these three exercises for aging:
1) Balance exercises - stand on one foot for as long as you can. Then switch feet. You may need to focus on something to help you do this. As we age our balance gets worse and to fall means to break.
2) Chest or pecks - arms straight out from shoulders, push hands together from that position for about 10-20 times for those muscles. Without this exercise you will get droopy as you age.
3) Wrinkle exercise - put your hands straight out from your body and open and close them at the same time you are tensing and relaxing your face muscles. Making the ugliest faces you can.
Over the years I have used these exercises when a presenter at a conference, training or lecture. I learned them growing up. My mother exercised with Jack Lalanne for many years. These exercises were my favorite of hers to watch.
These are the ones I most enjoyed watching her practice. I couldn't wait for her to do the face exercises especially as she made the best faces ever. When I would go to her house as a young adult, she would be standing at the kitchen sink, whistling and standing on one foot.
She reminded me of a pink flamingo.
With the chest/pecks exercise she would say, "If you don't use these exercises then you may end up rolling up your boobs to place them in your bra." And she said, "Men need these too as you have seen older men with sagging chests too right?"
Then she would remind me that men who smoke pot (marijuana) grow breasts. I think she was insinuating that my first husband needed this exercise as he was a pot smoker.
My admission of what I could be more honest about is that these exercises aren't just to keep participants to my talks awake as I tell them. And it isn't just for education purposes. It is because I love watching everyone in the audience practice these exercises.
I can't wait to see this just like I couldn't wait to watch my mother do the face exercise! And with a room or auditorium full of people it is the best!
