Advice On Links In Our Vocal Stories
After The Problems With Suno Links In Harmonic Verses Entries

Introduction
This started with this post from Carolin Jane about Suno Links disappearing from her "Harmonic Verses" Vocal Challenge entry here:
Mine were Ok at the time, but then they disappeared, but I found a workaround that you can see in this piece:
I have written in detail about the two ways you can include links in this piece, using the embed link option or a basic text link via the formatting bar, so I won't go into detail here but I will give examples in this article.
So Examples Of Embed Links That Do And Don't Work
The first is not so much a link issue as a Grammarly problem. Grammarly shows up my many errors, but will not correct them on my Windows 11 home computer. I have to apply the correction manually. It was the same on my Windows 10 computer, plus my laptops, even when on holiday, so it wasn't my ISP. However, on my Windows 10 work computer (same model as my laptop) it works perfectly. I raised it with Grammarly, but they couldn;t give me a solution, so I am still looking.
The Suno Embed links now don't work. I have not reported it as I would probably get into a blame tennis match between Vocal and Suno and the basic link does work, but you have to click through to hear the music, whereas a YouTube link can be embedded like this:
I am going to illustrate the issue with a couple of Amazon links (if you buy through these, I will get a commission)
This is a basic Taylor Swift link
However, digital music and video links don't work so they have to be done via basic links using highlighted text and the formatting bar:
Conclusion
I know this is short, but it is just to let you know that there are two ways to include a link in your Vocal Story.
I prefer the embedded link as that gives the reader a better experience, but the text link is good as a backup and if you don't want the images in your story.
Thank you for reading, and I will include "Oh Caroline" by Matching Mole as music for you to listen to while you are here.

Helpful info, Mike. Thanks for sharing this. The "Oh Caroline" link didn't work, but who cares when you have "Nick Cave meets Dr. Seuss", lol.
I use YouTube. I had some links in a story to insert where I obtained my information, but I just typed them at the end of the story as typed links. I figured out most people, especially writers, can just type the link into the search engine. YouTube is easy.
If I have more than three links, I don't embed them. Too many embedded links cause the page to load slowly.
Well, I prefer embedded links when there are not 50 of the them, of course. 😁
I always prefer embedded links.
Thanks for this Mike- really helpful :)
Thanks for this. I'm usually lazy to check links, so this will serve as a reminder!
I hope it would be fixed soon. It's causing a lot of frustration
