The Circus Roncalli
A Circus With No Animals, Holograms, And A Lot More

Introduction
I am not sure how to do this, but this is a result of this poem by Marie381Uk who suggested I write a piece on Circus Roncalli.
That made me remember I had seen something about a circus or zoo that used holograms instead of real animals. Check out the initial video.
I discovered it was the Circus Roncalli in Germany, and their history is very interesting and can be checked out here:
Note the site is in German (obviously), but does have a translation option.
I did not expect to be writing this today, and it will be short because Circus Roncalli's website is very thorough.
Some Observations On Circus Roncalli
The nearest equivalent to Circus Roncalli is Cirque de Soleil, and this is what Guy Laliberté said:
"Without Roncalli, we wouldn't exist," said Guy Laliberté, founder of Cirque Du Soleil. As a child, I always wanted to go to the circus myself; now I'm right in the middle of it. Bernhard Paul brought storytelling to the circus world and inspired me with his real David vs. Goliath story.
Bernhard Paul was the founder, and his details and achievements are here:
The site is full of interesting articles, like the initial balloon launch in 1976
Somewhere on the site, I saw that the Circus is extremely ecologically focused and plastic-free.
Conclusion
This was initially just to share the animal hologram, but the history of Circus Roncalli is fascinating. If you go on to the website, you will find lots of rabbit holes to wander down.
Thank you for reading, and I hope you are as fascinated by this circus as I am.

I haven't seen this show, but Cirque de Soleil was a fantastic show with top-quality performance. I can't even imagine going to see an old-fashioned circus. Focusing on human performers with tech-enhanced novelty sounds pretty good to me. Thanks for sharing.
What a fascinating use of holograms. Thanks for sharing, Mike
Short and sweet. Holograms of animals instead of the real things in cages. Good idea.
