The Homeless Make North Austin MORE Romantic
You know what really irks me? People who hate the homeless. Like, you can't think of a better group of people to judge than those truly doing what they love with their lives? People hate on them bumming around, but at the same time, they hate their jobs. They hate their bosses and their co-workers and their clients. They hate their wives and their kids and wish they were just out doing drugs and having sex with strangers. Well, pretty ironic that a bunch of lousy hypocrites whining about nothing hate the people who do what they want to do. But really, it is a tale as old as time. How many times has one group enslaved or oppressed another group because they were secretly jealous? War on the trans community anyone? Slavery anyone? Jim Crow anyone?

A Journey to Shada Pathor, Sylhet
It was early morning when we set out for Shada Pathor, nestled in the Bholaganj area of Sylhet, Bangladesh. The mist still clung to the hills like a sleepy blanket as the dawn light softened the sky. We had heard that this was a place where the river flows over stones that are so pale they almost look white, where mountains touch the clouds, and where nature sings quietly and forever. From Sylhet city, the drive to Shada Pathor took about 2 hours, though time passed quickly as lush green fields, palm trees, and tea gardens rolled by our windows. The last stretch of the journey was more adventurous—a bumpy ride on local transport, known as Chander Gari (open jeeps), winding through narrow village roads and rocky terrain. It felt like we were slowly being transported from the busy world into a forgotten paradise.

Srebrenica - What You Should Know Before You Go
Srebrenica. A name that still carries a heavy weight in Europe. During my journey through Bosnia, I decided to visit the Memorial Center in Potočari — a place where over 8,000 men and boys were murdered in July 1995 during the genocide. Potočari is located just outside of Srebrenica. In this article, I’ll share how you can visit this site, what to expect, and why — despite its difficult history — it’s one of the most important places to see in the Balkans.

Don't Miss the Most Charming Seaside Village on Martha's Vineyard
When you think of Martha's Vineyard you might imagine lighthouses, Vineyard Vines, lobster rolls, gray shingles, and all the typical cute and preppy Cape Cod iconography. While visitors are easily steered towards the Island's main tourist hubs, the down island towns of Edgartown, Oak Bluffs, and Vineyard Haven, there's another side to the island outside the brick sidewalks and charming windowboxes of town. The three rural up-island towns West Tisbury, Chilmark, and Aquinnah, hold pastoral charm, iconic clay cliffs, and one of my favorite island enclaves, Menemsha.
