My husband and I just made an unexpected trip to Stockholm this past weekend. I needed to get a new Residency Permit Card after receiving a permanent residency and Gothenburg (nearest migration agency) was booked until after the summer. So queue an impromptu trip when we didn't have the money saved up. We knew that if we went, we were going to stay for the weekend.

Figuring out Europe
The first few weeks of traveling were all so eye-opening. Where do I go? How do I get there? Should I learn some words of their language? What is the currency like? Where do I book my accommodation? All of these questions became a part of my everyday life so quickly, and got easier and easier as time went on. Traveling at 20-Something
At the ripe age of 19, I traveled with a good friend of mine to the city of Madrid, Spain, to indulge in the magnificent culture and serve through missions. We saved every penny, support raised for months, and then eventually hopped on the plane for our eight hour flight. We spent a few weeks taking in the architecture, new people, and amazing cuisine.

What I Wish I Knew Before My International Travel
You've seen pictures of your friends and family traveling out of the country. Social media depicts an amazing experience that went exactly as planned. They swam with dolphins, made new friends, tried new food, and to top it all off, it only cost them "$5." OK, that last part is an exaggeration, but it always seems that everyone I know is able to travel and do more, and through it all, they found some incredible deals on flights.

Vienna, Austria
This past year I lived abroad as an au pair and travelled many places. Though everywhere I travelled to was incredible in its own way, Vienna, Austria, was one of my favorites. Traveling alone is a great experience that I would recommend to anyone if they feel comfortable, but meeting a travel buddy along the way is even better! On my bus ride from Prague to Vienna, I met a girl by the same name as me and we ended up making our way through Vienna together.

Rolling The Dice On Vietnam
February, 2017 Phu Quoc, Vietnam Earlier in 2017 I had a three week vacation coming up. I was getting off a ship in Singapore and had to be in Sydney for my next assignment. I was pondering where in Asia to spend my long vacation. Unable to make a decision I took to a strategy I had read about in a book a long time ago. I rolled the dice on it! First I asked my colleagues on the ship to suggest 6 countries in the area and we appointed a number to each country. The dice fell on Vietnam and my decision was made.
