budget travel
If you budget wisely, your travel funds can go a long way, though not as far as you.
How I Get Cheap Flights
Generally, when we travel, the most expensive part about the whole trip is just the freaking PLANE TICKET!! Let's be honest here, my bank account is about as healthy as the average college student, but I still want to travel (and if you clicked on this post, you probably do too)!!

The Aftermath: Thailand, India, France, and Venice Part 1
If by some fluke you read my previous blog, you know that back in March I quit my job and went traveling. I thought I'd do a quick post to debrief myself on the whole experience, but I've realized as I'm writing I can't cover all four countries and my takeaways in one post, so I'm going to break it down, so it at least makes sense to me. So this is my first. It's a couple of points on traveling I wish I had known before. Here we go...

London-To-New York for as Cheap as Possible!
First, if I wanted to save as much money as possible I had to do some research. I searched sites such as Sky Scanner and Kayak to find some cheap deals then I used what I had learned from those sites to find my ideal, cheapest flight. As for the hotel, I searched Booking.com to find cheap hotel deals and then used what I learned to find my ideal cheap hotel. My research really didn't take long. Once I had shopped around a little it became obvious to me that my choices were limited, after all, budget travel to one of the most expensive cities in the USA isn't going to be the easiest task. Here's what I found and what my plan of action was!

Little Rock City Park, New York
The 2018 Summer will be over in about two months. There is still plenty of fun to be had and some of it can come pretty cheap! Maybe you're still trying to enjoy this year’s record hot weather outdoors, instead of in a motel or hotel. You could be on the last few days driving home from vacation and would like to cut costs. If you're anything like me, you just need to get away from civilization for a little bit. Whichever it is, you need a financial break. I know a park just north of Allegany State Park that can offer you a break for free. I have gone there myself and it's pretty isolated, but don't go alone! It's rumored to be haunted, which is perfect for those who like a ghost hunt all year round!

Travelling Thailand: The Poor Man's Guide
Where to Begin Travelling has always been something that I knew I needed to do. I think that the travel bug is something that you're born with; the desire to see the world for yourself. The problem with traveling, at least for most young people, is money. Traveling expenses can add up quickly especially if air travel and hotel stays are required. However, this should not deter a young traveler from seeking out adventure. This post is regarding my recent month-long stay in Thailand, and how we managed to make the most of our trip on a very limited budget. I will make a separate post regarding the culture of Thailand and the overall experience, for now this post refers just to money saving tactics and the best ways to get a big bang for your buck in the country of smiles.

The Scoop on Brighton
It's the UK's hottest recorded heatwave in 123 years (at least a meme I just saw on Instagram says so) and most of us are at a loss on how to deal with it. Do we stuff ice cubes down our bras before work? Do we lie face down on the grass and cry about the CO2 shortage that's pillaging our Prosecco supply? Fear not, my hot friends. Because a solution has been waiting for us all this time, and that solution is Brighton.
