The Ancient Coin Scam
I always like to do my research on common scams in places I’m visiting and yet, somehow, I avoided finding out about the ancient coin scam that is not too uncommon around ancient sites in Turkey. I had worried that Turkey was going to be a tough destination in terms of pushy sales people and scam artists but had found I felt far less hassled than I did back when I was studying in Paris. Sure, there were plenty of people trying to get you to buy their wares but saying a simple no and wandering off had always ended things. While I still feel this way about Turkey in general, I formed this opinion before we visited Ephesus.

Best rooftops in Lisbon for solo travellers
I understand. Travelling solo is not always easy and people will look at you strange when you make one person reservation but you do not feel awkward about it, because you are used to it and you enjoy your own company. Rooftops are always a good shout when travelling solo. Why? Places like rooftop bars, restaurants and pools are smaller and it is easier to make some new connections with people, plus majority of the time you can just take a lift up and walk in. We cannot forget about the amazing views you get and those shots you can take for the gram!

Tips For A Hassle-Free SydNYE Experience
How time passes by so swiftly, I wonder. We just welcomed the new year a few months ago and in no time we will be welcoming it again, won’t we? I am someone who moved to Sydney last year. Right before I shifted, I had read up on Sydney and the “must-see” destinations here. So, I was well-aware of the fact that New Year’s Eve was no small thing here, especially because the fireworks here were the most popular in the world. Being a new girl in the city, witnessing the massive celebrations on New Year’s Eve was a magnificent spectacle indeed. I was fortunate enough to experience one of the Sydney New Year's Eve cruises; and the view of the fireworks over the Harbour Bridge was simply mind blowing.

Tilt and Sway
In February 2010, I arrived in Japan ready to start training for what I thought would be a year of rebuilding my inspiration. I was a Florida girl fresh out of university with an art degree I had been working toward most of my life, battling a depression I only vaguely understood, and hoping to escape some of the economic devastation that my classmates were experiencing in the wake of the recession.
