There are many reasons to visit Costa Rica. Our volcanoes, our beaches, the people & rich culture, to name a few. Toucans, monkeys, our smiling sloths. All that one needs to plan a trip here. Well, my friends, don't forget the coffee. It is a national point of pride that many coffee enthusiasts make the trip to one of the happiest countries on the planet to visit the dozens of coffee plantations scattered around. When you actually see what goes into the development of our famous and beloved icon, you'll have a deeper appreciation of what goes into the formation of that perfect cup of coffee that we all NEED & ENJOY each and every morning.

The Dream 4-Day Solo Trip to the Land of Thunder Dragon
2019 ended on an emotional rollercoaster for me. I'd suffered a devastating personal loss. After that, the only way I could pull myself out of the abyss of self-pity was to give in to my soul's wanderlust. And so, I took myself on a life-altering trip to four cities in eleven days.

Wedding or a Road Trip?
2020 has been one hell of a weird and turbulent year for all involved. I personally have managed to make my way through ever-changing months with little loss of sanity and still managed to find sources of entertainment, even the most unlikely of places. Yet, as we enter the final month of the year, it is time to turn to the future, and what lies ahead in the new year.

To Ride A Jet-Powered Broomstick
When I was growing up my mom hated planes. In fact, to this day she wouldn’t even drive me to the airport. We drove everywhere, every family vacation was a road trip kind of vacation. When I was a sophomore in high school my choir class took a trip to Boston, Mass. and rode a bus for 27 hours to get there. I had gotten pretty lucky, in my dated opinion, that the occasion never arose to have to ride in a plane.

One Day
I'll start this off by letting you know, I love animals more than anything on this Earth, and my most ambitious goal is to eventually save an animal species. I recently got accepted into college for a Wildlife and Forestry Conservation degree. This will take a few years but once that is done, I plan on visiting every country available to me to see at least one of their Wildlife Preservation facilities. I know this will be a very expensive and hard feat, but I have never been more excited to plan something in my life. Whether this be a solo trip or a trip I take with my now fiancé is yet to be determined, but the trip will happen.

A Student's Semester In Scotland
The year 2022 will start with me taking a long, solo trip, as that is when I will spend a semester at the Ayr Campus of the University of West of Scotland pursuing the second master’s degree I will be getting. To say that I am looking forward to this trip would be one of the biggest understatements I could make currently. I cannot wait to start my life as an international scholar while also getting the chance to explore the second country on my “To Visit” list, nor can I wait to see the sight that inspired one of my favorite traditional songs, “Loch Lomond” which I once performed during my undergraduate career as part of a tenor/bass choir. The largest draw, however, is the call of my ancestral homeland as a descendant of the Clan Donald who ruled the western islands of Scotland.

My Dream Destination: Japan
Konnichiwa my friends! By the time I was a preteen, I had one goal which was to travel to different places around the globe. Since I have a penchant for multiculturalism and geography, there are a whack of places that are on my "travel bucket list". Japan is one of the places that I have on my lengthy travel bucket list, because of its attractive natural sites, the delicious food, the variety of things to explore and do, as well as my overall passion for Japanese culture, language and cuisine.

I Want to Be a Tourist in Paris
I’ve never been much of a traveler. I understand the desire to see foreign locations and to lay eyes on things you’ve only ever imagined or experienced at the distance of media. That said, I’ve just never had the desire to travel. I don’t like planes, I don’t like being out of my comfort zone, and being a single man in my 40’s, I have no one who could push me to get outside of myself and find joy in the experience of traveling by having someone to share the experience with.
