I don't mean the kind you see on TV, but the kind you have to feel to realize it's a real thing. Sometimes your eyes can deceive you and that makes them somewhat unreliable. For me my eyes are a lot to me but to some that haven't seen with them, they really don't know what their missing. When I joined the board of the Liberace Foundation, I had never been in the Liberace Museum, nor the Liberace Museum Gift Shop. I knew of the museum, but as a young man I had heard that the staff denied that Liberace was gay, or that he had died of AIDS, which I felt did a disservice. Whether or not staffers were actually denying these facts I never found out for myself, but the societal denial surrounding his legacy had a negative feeling about it, and I was, unfortunately, not inspired to visit.
