Quirks I miss about South Korea
Introduction South Korea gave me an incredible year and a half of my life. In my early twenties, I was straight out of university, and it was the first time I ever lived abroad but certainly not the last. It was a game-changer and a catalyst for the way that I would live from then on. There’s something very different about living abroad than traveling or going on holiday that is quite magical. All those everyday little things suddenly become a challenge and an adventure. Things you don’t even bat an eyelid at back home. Opening a bank account, working out the subway system, or getting groceries. And then there are the little things about everyday life that are unique to this new country that you live in. I wanted to share some of my favourites from South Korea with you.

And please, forget the Queen’s over-rated glitter, mined by slaves, and held under lock and key in the raven-shit Tower, guarded by bellied men wearing gay costumes.

Things I Didn’t Know About the Southwest Before Moving Here. Top Story - September 2021.
Three years ago I decided to drop everything and more or less move to Tucson, Arizona on a whim. After living in the Midwest and Southeast, I decided on checking out the desert for a little while, because why not, right? As someone who works at home, there were a few side projects I really wanted to finish, but distractions in varying forms continually knocked at my door, asking if I could come out and play.

The Bus People
I just came back from a walk in the jungle. More precisely, a walk in the rainforest with a backdrop of cloud forest behind me and a view of two active volcanoes directly ahead. Once home, I boarded a bus, took a hot shower to soothe a few new purraja bites I picked up outside, then settled into my recliner with a cold glass of tamarindo juice and my laptop.
