Coffee and Chocolate
Small slice of coco heaven!!

Coffee and Chocolate - Could There Be A Better Combination?
There are lots of divine pairings in this world. Peanut butter and jelly. Fruit and Chocolate. Apple and cinnamon. Peanut butter and chocolate. Bagels and cream cheese. Mint and chocolate.
Chocolate is in a lot of these divine pairings. So when my husband took me into a coffee shop literally named Coffee and Chocolate - I thought I was in heaven. The smells of baked goods, and very specifically, chocolate and coffee, cocooned me in a sweet, sensual embrace. And my eyes beheld the physical manifestation of the rainbow in the form of decorated truffles, fudges, macarons, and pastries.

Now I hear ya if you're thinking: Smelling great and looking pretty is one thing, but coffee, tea, and baked goods have to be made right.
Fear not. They didn't disappoint us. Not only were the boxes adorable, but the macarons were tender and chewy, the tea and coffee were hot and made correctly. They were sweet and rich, and lived true to each of their advertised flavors. We tried several of their truffles too, as displayed above, and they had the perfect shell, the gooey center, and divine heavenly flavors inside every one of them.
We tried an Irish Cream Liquor, A champagne flavor, a pistachio truffle, a strawberry and creme, a dark cherry cordial one, and a salted caramel square.
We chose similar flavors with the macarons, and unfortunately, I was so excited that I forgot to take pictures of them, as I shared them with my husband on the way home.

I was pleased to see that there are 3 of these shops open here in Knoxville.
We found this little joint in downtown Knoxville, near the place with the delicious ramen that I've written about before.
They impressed us when the London Fog tea they handed my husband was brewed to perfection. And my caramel mocha latte was sweet, but still with hints of the bitter espresso laced within.
And that cup of coffee warmed me to my core and brought me back to life.
Listen, this is my biggest shame guys, but I am a snob about coffee. I have handed cups of coffee back to baristas, with a huge apology and a large tip waiting for them - if they remake it exactly the way I tell them to. I've worked in a coffee shop before, and you have no idea how much time I spent practicing coffee. Bad coffee loses customers. Bad coffee burns coffee shops to the ground. Metaphorically speaking.
A coffee shop can't be called a coffee shop if it can't make a good cup of coffee. And they nailed it. Enough for me to be animated and back to almost normal by the time I was done enjoying their sweet treats and my drink.
I had just had a minor surgery, so I was still recovering from the mind-numbing effects of anesthesia, and I didn't even process the idea of taking pictures while we were inside the vibrant and cozy cafe. This was a complete loss on my part - I'm not gonna lie.
So I'll pull through in ways I usually don't: Behold their Instagram!
I was pleased to find out that this little shop has three locations, spread out over the Knoxville area.
Just one more gem to visit when you happen to come to Knoxville, TN, the home of the Volunteers!
