feminism
At its core, feminism is the simple conviction that women are equal to men in every regard, and should be treated as such.
I Just Wanted a Glass of Wine, Hold the Stalker Vibes
It was a Friday night in September, and I was just getting off a long day of work, at the barber shop. I was covered in other people's hair, and exhausted in every way, shape and form from standing on my feet and listening to strangers problems for eight hours straight. All I wanted to do was put on some sweats, open a bottle of wine, and snuggle up on the couch with my pup, while watching The Golden Girls.

Women in Power
Retail manager may seem menial to most but to me it is a career in the making. I have not necessarily suffered hardships and oppression but I have suffered from ageism and sexism in regards to my title. This post is meant to shed some light on the thoughts and feelings of one young woman in a leadership role; myself.

Dear All Women
Dear All Women, I know you have spent your whole life in a society that tells you that you are less. You are vain for being pretty, and wasting all that time yet you are disgusting for not altering your body so that it pleases their eyes. You’re stuck up for your intelligence and dumb for not thinking it through. You’re prudish for your modesty and slutty for revealing your flesh. It really doesn’t matter what you do, we are always less.

A Hero to All, But Especially Me
Dear Button, It’s funny, knowing how close we are now, to look back at the first words I ever said to you—or rather, about you. Mom had just brought you home from the hospital and set you on the couch in your carrier next to me. The moment she left the room, I pushed you—carrier and all—off the couch. When she rushed in, wondering why the baby was now on the ground crying, I angrily replied, “I don’t like it. Take it back.”

Dr. Mrs. Bader-Ginsburg You were a Warrior
As international women's month comes to a close, I think it's important to acknowledge and remember all the strong women out there. One of the strongest that I have ever heard of was Ruth Bader-Ginsburg. Unfortunately, we lost Mrs. Bader-Ginsburg in September of last year but, all that she has accomplished should inspire young women to strive for the best.

Dear Women
Dear You: This letter is to you, the women on this planet. To women who are brave to smile, to dream, and to tear. To you, the women that inspire, are not afraid to work hard and be the best woman that you can become. To all you women that are brave enough to change to who you want to become. All of you that are not afraid to sweat, get dirty, and love fashion and beauty. To those women that feel empty but still have the courage to laugh, smile, and shine. Dear women in my life, the strangers, and newly acquainted, thank you for being you.

I'm not your Superwoman
Dear Meghan, Who is the strongest woman you know? I’m sure your mother is one. Probably even the Queen. Personally, I’ve known and read about many strong women-historically, fictitiously, familial and spiritually. And there are many comic book heroines who are strong. One of the strongest is Superwoman. In Alicia Keyes song, Superwoman released in 2008, the heroine is portrayed as an everyday average woman:

I see you...
Dearest you, I may not know you personally, but I do see you, day in and day out making small miracles everyday. This letter is to the women who are often overlooked and unacknowledged. I want to let you know that you are vital to making the world go ‘round, there isn’t an area of life that doesn’t have your touch.
