(Men)-strual Cycles.
For years women all around the globe have joked that men could not handle a menstrual cycle. I happen to agree, I mean a lot of guys cannot multitask and there is the blood, cramps, pads or tampons and yes you still have to go to work. This age old discussion was recently brought to my attention when my 12 year old niece wanted to know why men don’t get a period when it’s called MENstruation, She said how can they not get it when there name is at the beginning of it. I thought that was hilarious, but more importantly after over two decades of periods why hadn’t I even thought about that. Who even decided that “Menstruation” would be the title for the process in a woman discharging blood and other materials from the lining of the uterus?

Unfinished Business
New York is lovely in fall and I had an entire afternoon free to wander on my own and do touristy stuff. I saw the Statue of Liberty and climbed up the crown room (I am glad that I was able to do that). **To be young and in love in New York City (in New York City) **. I like climbing tall buildings and observing things from a great height. It feels good to remember all the terrible stuff that you went through because you had a good heart from high places. All the times when you thought you would not be able to make it through but you did, somehow, with the Universe.

Are you sure that "We don't need Feminism anymore"?
The statement that we don't need feminism anymore may be regarded as true by the women that British feminism has historically benefitted; mainly the middle/upper class, white women that the Suffragette movement of the early 1900’s was led by. In 1918, female property owners over the age of 30 were finally granted the right to vote in the General Election, which we regard today as a momentous achievement for British women. However, “property owners” clearly left out any woman who was poor. And Suffragettes such as Millicent Fawcett and Josephine Butler used the idea of superior British imperialism as a way to win their rights, through portraying Indian women living in England as enslaved and primitive. Through these concepts, white women were able to place themselves at a higher social standing to get what they desired.

Do All Men Cheat??
I finally met a guy that could potentially be “the one.” We have talked for hours over the phone every day. We face timed. We texted constantly, all throughout the day. We discussed serious things like marriage, kids, and future plans. He told me that he was intrigued by me. He is out of state until next weekend because of his military position. I have never felt this close to someone I have not actually met in person.

Hell's Office: 3 Unbelievable Events
Dear reader, There are many unspeakable things in this modern world. Some have been led to believe that such events are caused by a certain group of individuals conventionally referred to as villains. But as you digest my upcoming stories, I can assure you otherwise. You will soon realize that even the most "decent" people can act ever so irrationally. I'm afraid I might not have the full explanation for what had truly happened. After all, one could only tell the tales of their truth.

My Fourteen-Year-Old Daughter Won't Wear a Bra
My mother took me shopping for a bra at the first indication that breasts were budding beneath my sweater. The fact that she noticed was embarrassing enough — I’m not sure how I made it through the actual shopping trip.
