The Underlying Issue with NBA Fans' Basketball Knowledge
During the postgame press conference of a Friday night matchup between the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Clippers on January 9, 2021, Warriors forward Draymond Green was asked this question, “Do you wish defense was seen, like, in a sexier way? That like, being in good position, or staying vertical...that’s just as good as, potentially, hitting a splashy 3, but it’s the 3 that ends up on the highlight reel?”

The State of the UFC's Lightweight Title Picture
The 155-pound weight division in the UFC has been described as a murderers' row, and there is no better way to put it. Today we are going to take an in-depth look at the top of the mountain though, where it is pretty cloudy at the moment.

With the Big Ten & Pac-12 cancelling Fall Sports and my Sooners having 9 New Positive Tests Yesterday the future of the 2020 College Football Season has never been more bleak. Without fans, it just isn't the same
It seems like a lifetime ago that we were allowed to hop onto aeroplanes and fly to cities that would show us a little additional piece of the world puzzle. It was a regular occurrence for me to travel all over the United Kingdom and various other locations in Europe because of the work that I do. I work in the sport television industry and the last destination that I got to enjoy visiting was the magnificent Rome. Thus my flashback encompasses the sad truth that we cannot gather together at sporting events anymore, something I most certainly will never take for granted again.

The Flower That Will Flourish Forever | In Memoriam of Hana Kimura
It's been a day since I found out about the death of Hana Kimura. Some people may know her as the reality tv star from Terrace House but to me and many others, she was a talented pro-wrestler who had a big future ahead of her. She was undoubtedly one of my favorite wrestlers not just in Stardom, but in the whole pro-wrestling industry in general. The news of her passing and taking her own life has gutted me and made it difficult to breathe. Up until now, I am still in disbelief and cannot seem to wrap my head around the fact that she is gone.

Becoming A NARP
Background The only thing a college athlete can do that is worse than losing is becoming a NARP. For those of you who don't know, NARP is an acronym for Non-Athletic Regular Person, or people who are not members of athletic teams. In college, even at a D3 school like mine, being on a sports team is a major status booster...especially if you're on a varsity team. You have instant friends, a support system, and get invited to all of the parties. So what would drive someone to give all of that up?

The Skate Bible: Origins (1950 - 1975)
Okay, so picture this. It's the early 1950's. You're in California standing over a golden beach and ocean of opportunity. You're clutching on to your surfboard with your soul in the sea and your eyes dazzling beneath the glimmer of the sun. But, those waves you're planning on riding – they're nowhere to be seen. The sea is settled and you're left wandering aimlessly with a thirst for the adrenaline coursing from the depths of the deep blue. You're drifting away into mindless boredom – and you need an escape. You need something fresh and exciting to kill the bad vibe and fill you with ecstasy.

'Mamba' In
“Mamba out.” With two words, arguably one of the greatest basketball players in history left the court of the Staples Centre for the final time. After twenty loyal years playing for the Los Angeles Lakers, Kobe Bryant set the bar for athletes to not only reach, but to aspire to. He was the king of the court as well as its greatest promoter. Hardworking, ambitious, passionate and driven – he had the ingredients of a champion. But like all those who step out from the status quo, Kobe had something else.
