Canelo vs. GGG 2
Tonight is the night. PPV Superstar Saul Canelo Alverez takes on Gennady Golovkin in a hugely anticipated rematch. The first fight ended in dramatic circumstances, as it was surrounded in controversy. The reason, many thought the fan favourite from Kazakhstan was robbed on the cards by an unfairly wide score card from world renowned female judge Adelaide Byrd. Byrd’s score card favoured Canelo ten rounds to two, even giving Golovkin's best rounds to the Mexican.

My Life in the WWE Universe
I’ve been a fan of professional wrestling (or sports entertainment) off and on for the vast majority of my life. As a kid in the 90s, wrestling was at its height. Every Monday night my friends and I would finish our chores and homework early, polish off our halos, and stay out of trouble in hopes of staying up late to watch an episode of wrestling in its entirety. The most important word in that last sentence is, ‘episode.’ There was a time when I believed that everything I saw in that ring was real. I thought Hulk Hogan had a lower body made of stone and that the Undertaker was an actual dead person. I believed Kane’s body was covered in burns and that Shawn Michaels had magic in his shoes that could put anyone to sleep. Then one day, Vince McMahon made a video. In this video, Vince looks directly into the camera and utters words that would change my life forever. With a grin of confidence he tells us that the fights we’ve been watching for years is part of a show. It’s not real so to speak. The outcomes are predetermined and most of what we see has been scripted and rehearsed. I was devastated. I didn’t know what to believe. I thought Vince McMahon was just a commentator. I had no idea he owned the company. The curtain had fallen for me and millions of others, thus bringing with it an inevitable decline.

How I Would've Saved WWE SummerSlam 2018
With the Biggest Event of The Summer Weekend behind us, the majority of the fans knew this event was gonna be a dud. It was, in my opinion, an ehh show, especially for being an almost five-hour show. With lackluster storylines, repetitive matches from the prior PPV with predictable outcomes, WWE's agenda to push Reigns as their top guy, and that same main event he is in is pretty much more played out than any Cena/Orton feud. If WWE would've gone against the grain and actually produced an exciting ending, this could've been one of the best Summerslam in years. This could've been a great opportunity to push KO as their leading heel on Raw. And putting The Authors of Pain with Kevin would make perfect sense since they need a manager/mouthpiece. Kevin could have also been a mentor to them to help out with their promos. Even though I don't hate their promos, they a need a little help. This will also get AOP out of the current feud they're in or at least speed it up for them to be involved in the tag title hunt. I think my idea for Kevin Owens and Authors of Pain stable forming would've blown the roof of the Barclays Center. Or at least make the show more interesting with my booking of the main event.

7 Lessons We Can All Learn from Shawn Michaels
Shawn Michaels is a mere wrestling superstar to most, but to me, he was the catalyst for change that I so desperately needed. Something about him spoke to me so deeply. I watched him, studied him, and after a while, I felt like I knew him. Something about him was so raw, so real, and so easy to get lost in. It wasn’t just a character, it was a piece of him that drew so many in.

'Fist of Fury'
It can be hit and miss with martial arts movies. While some are just a mass of badly choreographed action sequences, good films can get lost in translation. One thing fans can be sure of when they pick up a Bruce Lee movie is that they are watching a quality production. With the legend's extensive martial arts training, the man liked to portray a realistic product on screen. Although Fist of Fury stands on the fringe of realism, I think there's enough here to keep action film fans happy. This is Bruce Lee's second feature film following The Big Boss which was originally released in 1972 but didn't come to the UK until 1973.

Nick Newell: The MMA Fighter Taking Away All Your Excuses to Skip the Gym. Top Story - August 2018.
Full Disclosure Part of the reason I’m writing this is that I’m stressed and I can’t sleep. See, I’m a bit of a gym rat, and I think about my fitness level a lot—therefore, I stress about my waning cardiovascular strength a lot.

Juice Sport
One of my all time favourite fighters in the sport of mixed martial arts (MMA) has to be Brazilian Royce Gracie. The original 'Ultimate Fighting Championship' happened in 1993 but I was about 23 years old when I first saw it, which was back in 2009. The sport of MMA had came from fringe sport to mainstream attraction by then, but it didn't take away from the magnitude of Royce Gracie's achievements that night in 1993. On the same evening, Gracie had defeated a pro boxer, a shoot fighter, and a kickboxer. Still to this day I am amazed by the fighting prowess of the man, who originally had a submission based style, he only real struck his opponent when he was on the ground. You can probably imagine then how disappointed I was when my hero tested positive for Nandrolone (May 8, 2007) after an Elite XC bout with rival Kazushi Sakuraba.

WWE RECENT NEWS: Tribute to "The Man They Call Vader"
First and foremost, I want to take some time to write about a tragic loss that affected the entire WWE Universe, the WWE Staff, and anyone who had the pleasure of working with such a great man. Leon White, also known as Vader, passed away Monday evening at the age of 63. This one really hurt to see, as they all are. Vader was a huge part of my childhood, and my first real interest in the art of professional wrestling. I remember vividly being legitimately scared of this big man from the Rocky Mountains. I fondly think of the many matches and the feud with Sting he had. I used to wake up at 5:30 am, maybe even earlier, just to watch the WCW Power-Hour. That was the only WCW show I knew of at the time. Later on I saw him enter the WWF, and I had the pleasure of seeing him live a couple of times. Man, as an eight-year-old kid, he was a monster. His in-ring abilities were second to none, for a man of his mammoth size. I am so grateful that I got to see this artist perform live and in person. Vader was always a big star to me because he was a pioneer for the "big guy" wrestlers. Moonsaults from a man that size defy logic. Thank you Leon White for taking the WWE (WWF) universe to a place of sheer amazement. Every story needed a good bad guy, a good heel. Back then in the simple world of good guy wrestlers and bad guy wrestlers, you were the baddest. I will always remember what you brought to my childhood and professional wrestling. Thank you for always reminding us what time it is. Vader-time!! Rest in Peace Leon White. My hat's off to you sir on a job well done and a life well lived.

The Pro Fighter Who Appeared on 'Jeremy Kyle'
Accidentally I was watching Jeremy Kyle one day having my coffee and a piece of toast. I do sympathise with some of their guests as I feel they are exploited. Even the victims are paraded on TV and have their lives analysed in a mere 20 minutes. After a metaphorical sentence by 'Jezza' they are then carted off to be judged by Joe public or rehabilitated by his aftercare team. It's madness and probably has some long-winded political agenda behind it which I won't get into. On this particular morning, a girl called Kayleigh was having trouble with her man James who was said to be a serial cheat. After giving Jeremy Kyle the details, her man walked on as brazen as most guests are on the show. A really big bloke with a neck that looks the guy can take a good sock from an opponent. I'm a bit of a boxing anorak. I do watch too much fighting; whether it be mixed martial arts or the sweet science. There was something really familiar about this guy although at this point he was cussing his girlfriend, stating "you try living with that."

The Greatest Match Ever?
For those of you who have been blinded by the WWE or living under a rock, the long awaited rubber match between IWGP Champion Kazuchika Okada and Kenny Omega took place this weekend at New Japan Pro Wrestling's Dominion pay-per-view in Osaka, Japan. After them having two legitimate Match Of The Year contenders in 2017, there was intense pressure on the participants to live up to their previous encounters.
