Zach LaVine Has Arrived in the NBA
The Chicago Bulls and their fans haven't had much to cheer for this NBA season. They fired their head coach Fred Hoiberg early in the season, they sit near the bottom of the Eastern Conference at 19-47, and they have a plethora of young, undeveloped talent, which points to a rebuild.

Why Missing the Playoffs Might Be Good for LeBron James
If I could use one word to summarize the Los Angeles Lakers season, I'd use the word: Yikes. After a tough loss against same town rival LA Clippers Monday night, many have called the Lakers season done, over, a disaster, among many other things.

What Is Kyrie Irving's Future in Boston?
Kyrie Irving began the NBA season telling the Boston fans he'd love to re-sign with them if they'd have them. Fast forward to around the trade deadline and the all-star break, he somewhat backtracked on that statement, saying, "Ask me July 1," about his impending free agency. Now with a Boston team that is struggling in the season's final stretch, Kyrie Irving's future in Boston has become uncertain. Will he stay or will he go?

How the L.A. Lakers Can Make the NBA Playoffs
The Lakers are in a tough spot coming down the stretch of the NBA season. They are currently outside of the top eight in the west, and if you follow basketball, that means they aren't in the playoff picture. The Lakers haven't made the playoffs in the past several years, but missing the playoffs when you have LeBron James on your team is something that hasn't happened since his second year in the NBA. There are some people who have written the Lakers off already, but the Lakers still have a shot to squeeze into the playoffs. But, things need to change and in a hurry.

Lakers Playoff Push
With LeBron James making the playoffs in 13 consecutive seasons, could this year have a different outcome? LeBron James has been a top basketball player ever since he was drafted back in 2003. He was drafted as the first pick in the first round, selected by his hometown team of the Cleveland Cavaliers. With such a high pick in the draft, we all thought he was going to turn a 17-65, 2002 Cavaliers team completely around.

What D'Angelo Russell's Rise Means for the Brooklyn Nets
If any team has caught the attention of the National Basketball Association, along with its fanbase, the Brooklyn Nets are definitely one of them. After the all-star break, they find themselves in the middle of a rather tight playoff race at the bottom of the Eastern Conference. They have been playing well this season, bringing an intensity to every game. Usually, that intensity they play with is what pushes them over the edge and allows them to win these games. Another reason could be the career year being put together by their all-star point guard D'Angelo Russell. But with big decisions regarding their cap room, Russell's rise gives the Nets more questions than answers.

Why Paul George Could Actually Be This Year's MVP
Russ was fouled out, it was double overtime, and time was low. Paul George was against Joe Ingles and made a decisive move to the basket. Stepping through Ingles and Ricky Rubio, George floated the ball over 7-footer Rudy Gobert and sinks the game-winning shot. It was then that I knew. He could become the MVP of the NBA. In a year where Giannis is dunking in the NBA, and Harden is frying his foes into a chef special, PG-13 is playing like he is a man on a mission in a gritty rated-R film. And after the all-star break, Paul George now has an understanding of his role in OKC and has the perfect star teammate in Russell Westbrook. And with the when peaking at the right time is crucial to winning, George is hitting his peak, right on time.

How to Improve Your Jump Shot
Although I am a huge fan of basketball, at 5'9" and with a vertical jump of a penguin, I'm not necessarily a "menace" on the court. However, I have managed to alter that stigma recently, thanks to a much-improved jump shot. In fact, if it wasn't for my jump shot, I probably wouldn't be able to stay on the court. Now that people have to play up on my shot, I can make up for my lack of athleticism/handles. When you're not the tallest person on the court, having a solid jump shot is a gamechanger.

Anthony Davis Struggles in 30-Point Loss to Magic
After 24 minutes on the floor, the New Orleans Pelicans forward Anthony Davis was unable to get the job done. In addition to the off-the-court drama that has grabbed the attention of NBA enthusiasts, Tuesday night's performance added more fuel to the Anthony Davis discussion. Davis left the floor after submitting a 1-9 shooting performance while participating in a 30-point loss at the hands of the Orlando Magic. His troubles began in the first quarter and continued to progress throughout the span of the regular season game. E'Twaun Moore tried to carry his team, but unfortunately, his 19-point effort could not change the fact that there are big problems in New Orleans.
