NBA Playoff Breakdown
Ding dong the King is dead, the wicked King, the wicked King. That’s right. After eight long, hard years of LeBron James dominating the Eastern Conference, his reign of terror is over. The Celtics can breathe. Pacers fans can rejoice. The Raptors can stop choking. The East no longer runs through LeBron and is now wide open—for the top four teams. With that being said, let's break down the Eastern Conference first round playoff matchups.

NBA Playoff Breakdown
After six grueling months of regular season play, the NBA Playoffs are upon us. Diehard fans who trudged through the long month of March are about to find relief as they bask in playoff excitement. Regular NBA fans can finally dust off their Steph Curry jerseys, and watch the only professional basketball they care about. To commemorate this joyous occasion, I am going to break down each first round playoff matchup, and make some predictions. I’ll start in the West.

The Ernie Grunfeld Era in D.C. Is Over...
Sixteen years... that's a long time to be a General Manager in the NBA. For long-suffering Wizards fans, it's been 16 years of near misses, disappointments, and just flat-out bizarre decision-making for an NBA franchise. For a hoops crazy metro area, that's practically dying for a winning basketball professional culture, the removal of Ernie Grunfeld as GM is a welcome and cathartic relief. As a fan that's old enough to remember the dark days of Wes Unseld as a GM, and the cavalcade of coaches and wasted draft picks that era represented. I can appreciate the job Ernie DID do, in terms of bringing talent to the squad at certain times, but the opposite can be said for his draft accumen, and overall stewardship of the team. Ultimately, the question on every fan's mind at this point is:

Redemption
March 16th, 2018 still haunts Tony Bennett. That day will forever live in college basketball lore. For 32 years, the top rated teams in the NCAA tournament had wrecked the lowest seeded teams. Number one seeds were 128-0 going into the 2018 tournament. Virginia was a well-oiled machine, going perfect in the hardest conference in college basketball. This was supposed to be their year.

Kobe the GOAT? Nope! Magic Was Better
Last week Kobe appeared on The Late Late Show with James Corden, and was on a segment where he would have to either eat something very disgusting, or answer who was the best between himself, Michael Jordan and LeBron James.

Opportunities Abound for The Los Angeles Lakers
For the first time since 2005 with the Cleveland Cavaliers, LeBron James will not be making a run for the NBA Finals. But, Lakers fans need not fret. After all the plan this season did not involve winning a championship. Sure, it would've been a tremendous help for their youngsters to gain some playoff experience and, obviously, LeBron is never okay with any kind of losing. They can take solace though, in the fact that the Lakers are in a position to have a good summer, should they play their cards right.

Reason First: Should NBA Player Jordan Bell Be Sidelined Indefinitely for Fraud?
They say that there is no “I” in team. But there is one in “win,” which points to the fact that it is a collection of individuals who make up a team. There’s also an “I” in bill. Power forward/center Jordan Bell of the National Basketball Association (NBA) team the Golden State Warriors charged an undisclosed amount of money to his assistant coach Mike Brown for purchases he made at the Peabody Hotel in Memphis, Tennessee. What this shows is the emotional exhibition of fraud on the part of the mini-Madoff.

Why the Sacramento Kings Are Finals Competitors, in the Near Future
Okay. Okay. Wait. Just wait. I know what you're thinking. This team, in itself, is not a contender for the next year, or maybe not even the year after that, and I know that the Lakers are, eventually, going to add another star to their roster and probably make a run at a championship. However, don't count out this young and improving Kings team with a high ceiling. Although it doesn't look it right now, the Kings are Finals competitors, and I'm going to tell you why.

Phoenix Suns Future?
Last year around this time, after finishing with the worst record in the NBA, Devin Booker said publicly that he was "done with not making the playoffs." However, this year, the Suns are currently at 17-57... not really any different than they were last year. Question is, should D-Book be patient and stay? Or jump ship and leave?

Jordan vs. James
Before I dive into my article, I just wanna say that Michael Jordan has six rings. Now I know a lot of you Bron lovers will argue that that is Jordan's only argument, but that truly is the only argument you need. And I know that the next argument y'all will make is then in that case, Bill Russell is truly the GOAT. However, no one is making an argument about Bill. Everyone is making the argument Jordan vs. LeBron. So in the end, two players who seem level with each other, while one has six and the other is 3-6 in the Finals, I'm going with Jordan. The point of the game is to win. And Jordan has won more than James. But I know you guys will all freak out so I'm gonna make my argument here on why Jordan is better.

Carmelo Anthony: How Did It Go so Wrong, so Fast?
Personally, I'm a fan of Melo. His days in New York were one of the many highlights of my love for basketball when growing up. The way he had the confidence to dribble up the court with no fear and hit the go-ahead or game-winning jumper right in a defender's grill. His 62 at the garden which was capped with a half-court heave at the end of the first half. Even his highlights in Denver are something to be awed.
