At Least 82 Jets' Stories
As I write this, there are still two of my stories in the hopper from the previous two games the Winnipeg Jets have played awaiting approval from the moderators. As I am sure they will be posted shortly, the fans whom I have spoken with about my dedication to the coverage I am giving this season to the Jets have been asking me when the heck the stories will be made public.

Steel Kicking
Sunday’s 41-17 home win over the Atlanta Falcons was huge for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Tomlin and Roethlisberger passed Chuck Noll and Terry Bradshaw for most all-time wins as a Head Coach-QB Tandem in Steelers history. They also looked confident and relevant again.

A Bonus: Video Tidbit from the Jets' Fanfest Day
I did have a couple of younger people who were very curious about my camera when I was shooting at the Winnipeg Jets Fan Fest on September 15. I did try and do some handheld video shooting while I was there. Not the greatest footage I have ever taken in my life, which leads me to believe that if I ever get the opportunity to shoot anything at one of the practices in the future, I should make SURE I have my tripod with me! In any case, before the one child started getting overly personal with my camera and madly poking the zoom lens while I was trying to take photos, this was the bit of footage I did get.

As you likely know, podcasts are one of the most popular digital audio formats around due to their convenience, streaming availability, and open opportunity for parity in programming that they offer. With the relatively low production and hosting costs of podcasting, many industrious people have found a way to create programs of various sorts. While many different types of programs are available in this format, by far the most popular is the discussion format. Game #1: Winnipeg Jets vs St. Louis Blues
Through looking at the simple statistics during the season opening game for the Winnipeg Jets in this 2018-2019 season, the win was very decisive. The game saw five different goal scorers on the stats sheet for the Jets in Patrik Laine (power play goal), Adam Lowry (short handed goal), Blake Wheeler, Kyle Connor, and Brandon Tanev, with goaltender Connor Hellebuyck playing a nearly perfect game, only allowing one goal, keeping the other 41 shots out. However, as is the case with any hockey game, there’s far more to look at than just the final score.

The Oakland Athletics incredibly successful season came to an end last night, as they fell to the New York Yankees 7-2 in the AL Wild Card Game in the Bronx. The men in green and gold were just coming off a fantastic season, finishing up with an impressive overall record of 97-65. The Yankees finished with an equally impressive 100-62 record.

NFL Week 5 Picks Against the Spread
NFL Week 5 As I write this (Sunday morning, October 7), the Giants are basically done after looking like crap at home against the Saints in week 4. Eli looked like crap again and it will probably be another long year for the NYG.

Top Five Failed Franchises
What happens when a team isn’t making it in the Majors? They get sent in for a makeover and go from aging failures to vibrant expansion teams. Franchises that find themselves down and out often have to give their product a makeover by relocating, renaming and rebranding.

Jimmie Johnson's Move Highlights NASCAR's Playoff Problem
It's been almost a week since seven-time NASCAR champ Jimmie Johnson wheel-hopped going into the final two turns of the last lap at the inaugural Roval race at Charlotte, causing Johnson a spot in the next round of the playoffs. With so much drama to comprehend, it's taken most of the NASCAR community days to digest everything that happened.

UFC 229: Khabib vs McGregor—Full Preview
What a great time to begin this blog! This weekend we will see the biggest fight in UFC, and possibly MMA history, as "The Notorious" Conor McGregor faces Khabib Nurmagomedov for the Russian's Lightweight Championship. Before this, there is a full card with Tony Ferguson and Anthony Pettis as the co-main event, and both men are ready to jump in should Khabib or Conor not be able to fight. While these lightweight battles are undoubtedly the focus of the weekend, there is a strong undercard on deck as the buzz intensifies for the main event.

As we move into week five, teams are now thinking about ways in which to change their approach, especially those that have so far failed to have much success. But before we get to that, let’s have a quick look at my predictions from last week.
