3rd Time's the Charm
Who here had Tuesday's battle between the Colorado Avalanche and the Anaheim Ducks as a battle between first place teams? The Avs leading the Central this early is no shock; a lot of the players on this team have "been there, done that" for the last few years. The Ducks, however, are another story. Anaheim hasn't experienced the playoffs since 2018. Think about how long ago that was. The Vegas Golden Knights debuted that year, and the Avs reached the playoffs in Game 82, starting our current playoff streak. Yet lo and behold, here are the Ducks, sitting on top of the Pacific Division.

Good Riddance and Goodbye!
February 2025 wasn't a great month for the Dallas Mavericks. Why? They were at the center of a controversial decision that would eventually haunt the team for a long time: trading fan-favorite Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers. Once the news made headlines, Mavericks fans were furious and belted their frustrations online and also held protests. Just to remind everyone that the Mavericks were in the NBA Finals a year prior to this disastrous firestorm that would eventually unfold. Doncic averaged 37 points a game before the trade occurred. The growing backlash was too much for the Mavericks front office to handle and they decided to fire General Manager Nico Harrison. In an open letter to fans, Patrick Dumont acknowledged how the team is committed to become a winning team. While he didn't go into specific detail about now ex-General Manager Nico Harrison, he's heard the genuine concerns of fans and is confident about the future of the Mavericks.

It Can’t Be A Coincidence
Once again the main talking point after an Old Firm is the refereeing team. Not just the man in the middle but the VAR team too. It hasn’t been a one-off marginal error that has Rangers fans going crazy both in-stadium and on social media, there’s a consistency. In fact, it feels like the only thing these referees are consistent at is finding away to cheat Rangers out of a result against their rival.

Barcelona have identified Bayern Munich and England striker Harry Kane as their top transfer target to replace veteran forward Robert Lewandowski next summer. NFL Week 10 Recap: Northern Exposure
When the Green Bay Packers lost in Week 9, we were knocked of the top spot in the NFC, but we still led the division because the Lions lost. However, a look at Week 10's schedule left me cold. The Bears were at home against the Giants. Yikes. The Lions were on the road against the Commanders, which would have made me feel better... if Jayden Daniels wasn't sidelined. The Vikings hosted the Ravens. That was the only one of the three I had confidence in. As for us, we would end the week hosting the defending champs.

Somers Makes a Good Run at Bowdoin Park
See Big Red and Bowdoin Runs Below On Saturday October 18, Somers traveled north to traverse Bowdoin State Park, and the scenic beauty was hard to miss. Aidan See, on the other hand, took a different view. "I didn't really notice it," the Tusker admitted. The hills were another matter, though.
