There is something amiss in the land of the free. Behind the cheery symbolism of hamburgers, baseball, and bald eagles lies something sinister and hidden. If you knock down the walls of suburban cookie-cutter homes, you may find that America is made up of cleverly designed props, decoys of political theatre.

Movie Review: 'The Craft Legacy' Improves on the Original
The Craft Legacy is a rare sequel that improves on the original. 1996’s The Craft was a solid look at teenage female empowerment and friendship that carried some very 90’s values. The Craft Legacy reflects how women’s empowerment has evolved and it’s a solid improvement on an original that wasn’t bad but does benefit from an updated perspective. Directed by Zoe Lister-Jones, The Craft Legacy is, for lack of a better term, ‘woke’ and it contains some of the best broad strokes of that term.

My Playlist Guide for Your Inner Girl Boss
Today, more than ever, women are tapping into their most divine, authentic, and unapologetic self. You may be asking, what is this higher power I allude to? What is this new-found divinity? Well, it is that of the Girl Boss. In a world guided by a patriarchal agenda, where we are constantly bombarded with misogyny, sexism, and archaic gender norms the Girl Boss has emerged as a direct challenge to these toxic structures. As women slowly claim their seats at the table, whether in music, business, science, education, etc. they are literally defying the traditional standards set out for them.

The Man with the Box Tattoo. Second Place in Body Art Challenge.
A portal exists on my left arm. Simple lines of ink bearing the bends that a canvas made of skin dictates, forms a cube open at one end. When the world around me consumes my will, when this reality pumped by a beating heart and rhythmic breaths misses a beat and grips my throat, I turn to the box on my arm.

Optical Illusions
During the spring semester of my freshman year, a friend named Sophie convinced me to attend meetings held by my college's Hillel Society. I am not Jewish, but since I was friendless and didn't have anything better to do, I came to the miniscule meetings where the club watched films on Judaism and ate kosher pizza. Born and raised Catholic, I felt like an intruder. But people welcomed me, and for a few weeks, I was less alone than I was before.

Charcuterie: An Experience, Not Just a Fancy Dish
My mom used to always say that if she could have cheese and crackers for dinner every night, she would be the happiest woman alive. Clearly, I didn't have my priorities straight back then because I distinctly remember thinking, Wow, that sounds seriously boring, but also wanting to be cool so I just replied, "Oh, yeah, that sounds good" in what you can assume was in a very monotone-like voice.

My Top Three Ghost Hunting Bucket List Locations
Whether or not you believe in the paranormal is your prerogative. Personally, I find it hard to believe that in our world where strange occurrences are frequent and so many things are left unexplained, that there isn’t something supernatural residing alongside us. I’ve had an interest in hunting the paranormal since I was a child and began to watch the TAPS team in Ghost Hunters. Since then I’ve researched and been fascinated by how many places in the country hold supernatural energy, and how many researchers and hunters have been able to communicate with spirit beyond their grave. Contacting the other side has been a dream of mine to do for so long, and while I don’t currently have the resources to do it, I have a list for the second I have the ability!

The Boy with the Teacup Tattoo
I have seven tattoos, but the one people seem most eager to see is the teacup on my ankle. They seem to appreciate the lengths to which I have gone to declare my love of tea. I do love tea; in fact it is one of my favourite things. However, this is not why I have adorned myself with its famed receptacle. And, no, it isn't because Ed Sheeran or Louis Tomlinson has one either. But, as it's quite a long story, I often just don't correct people when they assume as much. However, it's nice to have an opportunity such as this to explain the full tale.

There's a Universe Inside You
I knew I had a purpose, but why did I feel like cellophane? I grew up in Brooklyn, New York, in the early '90s between the dope dealers on Flatbush and the Haitians playing dominos on Church Ave. My mother got pregnant with me at fifteen years old, and my father was shot and killed three days after my first birthday. Growing up in Brooklyn was rough; however, I made the most of it. No matter how turbulent things were, I always found my silver lining, and I didn't give up. When I was nine, I ended up homeless with my mother, and I experienced hunger for the first time. Twenty-nine years of profound experiences gave me the grit to make something of my life and share my story to inspire other women.

Hey, y’all! So I don’t know about you but ever since the beginning of quarantine, does it seem like we’re cleaning more than ever all of the sudden?
