Zelenskyy: Keir Has His Back!
Keir Reacts to Trump Calling Zelenskyy a "Dictator".

Sir Starmer is heading to Washington next week to meet Donald Trump and has reacted to Trump's labelling Vlodymir Zelenskyy as a "Dictator". Sir Keir sees himself as the transatlantic bridge between Europe and Trump's America. In a way, past British leaders have been a bridge between the USA and Europe. Britain and the USA have always had a close relationship, more so since the end of WW II. British and Americans have bled together on the battlefield. We share so much in common, racially, linguistically, and culturally. Britain essentially gave birth to the USA, we supplied the first settlers. Many Americans today share a DNA heritage from the British Isles. Yes, we fought wars against each other, The War of Independence and the 1812 War. We have had disagreements, however, we remain close. Even Trump and the alleged Martian (maybe?) Elon Musk has British DNA. Trump through his Scottish mother and Musk through a granny from Liverpool.
So it is understandable, that the two countries, should remain close. However, in the last number of years, some say Israel is America's top ally. And it is easy to see why, the USA has since the end of WW II supported Israel in every way. Look at the recent Israel war with Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis and technically, with Iran. The USA has a substantial Jewish population though a minority compared to other groups. The Jewish lobby is strong in the USA and Zionism among many Christians in the USA, is strong. So any American leader who goes against this risks a lot! Of course, there are exceptions.
President Ronald Reagan told the Israelis to stop in Lebanon or else he would cut off aid. Likewise, George Bush 1st, told Israel in no uncertain terms after the 1991 Gulf War to get around the table with the Palestinians. Talk peace with each other and settle their differences. However, for some reason that didn't transpire.
So it would be easy to see why the British would say to America: "I thought we were your first love? You are now two-timing us with that 'Johnny come lately' nation from the Middle East Israel"! There is evidence to support this, who was the first international leader to visit Trump? Benjamin Netanyahu the controversial, right-wing, and alleged war criminal.
Sir Keir Starmer the British Prime Minister is visiting Trump next week. So, do many Americans (not all) love Israel more than us? Yes, there is evidence to support this. Zionist Christians (not all Christians are Zionists) believe the founding of Israel in 1948 was the fulfilment of prophecy. Leading to the second coming of Christ, so no matter what Israel does, Christian Zionists, on the whole, will support Israel. Largely ignoring or not caring about Palestinian Christians. Yes, they do exist and while in the minority compared to Muslims, these Christians have existed since the ascendency of Christ!
Whether the state of Israel in the modern sense as a Jewish but secular state (Jews are allowed to be religious and the constitution allows freedom of faith for non-Jews) is the fulfilment of Biblical prophecy is disputed among Christians.
Trump seems to have got a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. However, the process remains shaky but so far, it is holding. Trump's recent declaration of a lasting peace was welcomed. However, turning Gaza into a playboy's playground on the ruins of Gaza has been rejected by Arab nations. There seems to be an alternative plan from the strongest Arab nation KSA or the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Russians and Americans have been holding talks in Saudi Arabia. Seeing how Russia and Ukraine can bring their war to an end. However, any peace deal will leave Putin in a stronger position. He wants to hold onto the Ukrainian land he has captured. He wants all weapons and any aid from the West to be stopped. Putin said Ukraine must not join NATO. So at the moment, it looks like to achieve peace, Trump has caved in to all of Russia's demands. Unless of course, Trump favours Russia over Ukraine. It has to be admitted, that Trump is regarded as an authoritarian figure. Hence his penchant for getting on with such figures like Putin and Netanyahu.
Trump and Zelenskyy have fallen out after Zelenskky said Trump was causing Americans to live in "Disinformation" over his country. Trump hit back calling Zelenskyy a "dictator"! Saying Zelenskyy was unelected and- started the war between Russia and Ukraine. Zelenskyy said he had not been invited to talks between the USA and Russia. Trump said Zelenskyy had years to stop the war, so he should shut up. With the rowing back of US support for Ukraine, Zelenskyy feels betrayed. Betrayed by the USA and talking to Russia, not involving Ukraine. A deal that will certainly leave Ukraine as the poorer half of any agreement. Zelenskyy went running to the Turks, to see Erdogan. Turkey has supported Ukraine in its war with Russia. It's doubtful, Turkey will be able to fill the gap the US has left.
Trump has also said NATO must pay more if it wants the continued protection of America. With Trump saying Europe, must stump up more money for its protection, European leaders have held an emergency meeting. Seeing how Europe can fill the gap the US may leave by not helping Ukraine. How Europe can stand on its own two feet against countries like Russia? America under Trump may not always come to Europe's aid.
Sir Keir has disagreed with Trump saying Zelenskyy is not a "dictator". It is normal in war to suspend elections. The UK did it when Churchill led Britain in its battle with Hitler. In 1945, with Germany defeated, general elections were held in the UK. Churchill was defeated and a Labour government was elected. So this is what Ukraine is doing. People will vote for Zelenskyy or put someone else in power.
The statement of Zelenskky being a dictator and suspending elections is hypocritical of Trump. Netanyahu has suspended elections while he fought Israel's enemies recently. So it's okay for Israel to suspend elections during a time of war but not Ukraine?
Keir said Britain and Europe will continue to support Ukraine. Zelenskyy has thanked Sir Keir for Britain's steadfast support of his country. Sir Keir has said he does support Trump's plans to bring peace to Russia and Ukraine. Though they may differ in the method of getting to that point.
So when Sir Keir flies out to meet Trump, the body language and chemistry between the two men, will be on display. People will be observing their body language. Does it contradict what the two leaders say? Will there still be a close relationship between the US and the UK? I guess there will be but there will be huge disagreements too. This is likely to be the pattern as long as Trump is President.
